I don't know what study these results are from but this seems reasonable.
I wonder if the results are different for people in mid-life?

You can have the most beautiful woman in the world but if she busts your balls day in, day out, you'll get fed up. I can say the same of an SP: if she is super hot but has a terrible attitude, you'll look elsewhere.

The main difference between men and women is that men are simple creatures: food, sex, money.:D As for women, they do not know what they want. Dee posted this funny skit on the other board:

There is truth in that message: just say ''yes'' to your SO every time because she'll never be happy. :D

The results suggest that modern-day singles, like generations of their ancestors, are driven by biology with men seeking the best specimens to procreate with, and women seeking the best long-term partners.

This view of women seeking long-term partners is iffy. In open societies, where a growing number of women are achieving financial independence, the need for long-term male partners is no longer such a priority.

Yes you are right. It seems to me boys aren't becoming men until about 25 now, when it used to be about 19 or 20.

It happens all the time in their younger years. Attractive women in their late teens, early twenties, will date the "hot" guy; then once they are in their mid-20s, they dump the hot guy for the guy with money and a job (unless the "hot" guy also has money). But then the girl soon realizes that the chances of a hot guy with money remaining faithful is about 0.00000001%.

Average looking guys with good income prospects bide their time in their teens and 20s, and then are almost surprised to discover that younger attractive women are chasing them.

Average or below average looking guys with no money are SOL, while good-looking guys with cash can fuck whomever they want.

Good-looking guys with no cash will have to settle for memories of their teens when they always got the girl. Once a guy is 35, looks without cash doesn't cut it.

A very insightful post. I can't disagree with much here. Only one thing... The good looking 35-year old with no money (one of my friends IS this person) can still get plenty of pussy. Especially plenty of 21-27 yr old pussy but serious relationships are what is out of the question... He has NO problem hooking up at a bar or club and leaving with a hotty on any given night. The problem arises the next day when the girl realizes that he is still living like a college student.

Average looking guy with lots of cash is definitely the way to go :) Check out some of the fat, bald doctors in montreal with runway model wives...

So the big question is…Who has less dignity, the old man with the young woman, or the hot woman with the rich ugly man?

Good one GG! I would think the pursuit of beauty is more dignified than the pursuit of money.
