the orange line was working. You had no valid excuse. Sorry. I was downtown I just switched to the orange line and walked 5 mins more.

Why did you not just take the taxi? If you are ready to spend $260/hr then taking a taxi is justified in this situation. Did you not want to have fun?

I just noticed OP took 2 hours too, so he was ready to spend 500+ on the session but not maybe 5-10-15$ on transport.

FYI everyone: when there is a major metro disruption such as this one, it can be very hard to get a taxi or Uber.

Sorry man but i got to be with the other guys (and gal) on this. Altough the subway having an issue sucks, if you having acces to internet you can certainly try something else. If you willing to book 2h at roughly 500$, you can certainly pay 20 bucks of taxi. Also i assume it was either Xo or Euphoria if you were going incall, both of them can be reach on orange line pretty easy. It seem to me you were a little bit unbalanced in your "usual way" and that was enough for you to call it quit completely?

In my case not having data on my phone can be annoying at times when in Montreal especially if my plans change (but i would barely use them at other times, so i don't want to pay recurring monthly fee for this as i am rarely in Montreal, maybe 4 times a year max) but in this specific case i would probably had just ask the booker if they could be kind enough to give me a taxi number. This remind me i should really just save one in my phone in case something like this happen.

But anyway i don't see what was "monstruous" about this situation. You booked 2h and was unable to make it because you didn't wanted to put an extra 20 or so. Booker has the right to be annoyed by it. They didn't insult you or were super rude...

I don’t often take public transit but can assure you I can feel when subway is down.

It is not that ubers are expensive, ubers are just unavailable.

That part! I took the metro yesterday and there were messages every 2 minutes (not even exaggerating) explaining the situation and they said to use the orange line if you had to go downtown.

Someone who reply to me with ''Same shit'' after I offered options to help, I wouldn't want to deal with him. And saying your trust is questioned just for a picture of the situation, he just wanted proof you weren't lying. Just sharing the photo and not saying that, would had saved you but now, you are probably blacklisted.
