Will try to find name and adress of the organization that supported last case and post it here.

The really Good news is..federal elections are soon to come (by end of 2015) and it isnt Quebec who will re-elect Harper's government.
If elections were held today..apparenmtly Mr. Trudeau junior would win.
By Philosophy, Liberals...are more liberals than conservatives on the matter.

One thing and only one thing to say:
''Dicks of the world, we need to stand UNITED''

Assuming the new law does come into effect, (It will be illegal to pay for sex) that means by having a mistress and supporting her financially will also be illegal. Living together in a common law marriage and financially supporting another would also be illegal. Where does it stop, who is to define where the boundaries are. I think they have opened a can of worms. What is the legal definition of a "John" and what is the legal definition of a "Sex worker". As for advertising, it will mean that a lot of off shore Websites will spring up, Others will move off shore, MP(s) will have to be more discrete (No big flashing neon signs). Safety of so called Sex Workers has now been totally ignored which was the intention of the original Bedford case. Both McKay and Harper need (Anal Cranial Extractions) on the other hand they might like the view from there.

...but I do not believe that much of anything will help street prostitutes, most of whom have drug and mental health issues that will harm them regardless of whether they perform prostitution.

Yes, but I mean that's exactly why we should not have criminal laws for prostitution. We won't help these people by regulating prostitution. The money we would waste on police arresting their clients or controlling brothels should be used for something productive. Meanwhile, laws actually increase the danger for streetwalkers.

Harper,he is an ass hole. I am happy that in one year, we will have the opportunity to get rid of him. The goverment should legalise prostitution instead of prohibit it... With Harper we go back in time like in the forties, when religionwas ruling with politicians. He reminds me G W bush. They are from the same mold. Stupid an retarded.

Habs Nation!
Guys remenber that the whole idea behind that model of law is to remove/reduces demand so the supply comes useless without penalizing sex workers

Yes, in my own opinion the law will obviously fail but everyone knows that

What has me really mad is the pure machiavelism of Harper, the supreme court tells him the law we had is wrong and too hard on the sex workers and he has to fix it, and what does he came up with? A law that is harder and will be invalidated once it is challenged, and he knows that but that's going to take how long? And meanwhile he can act as he please?

That means that our system is flawed and what we have is a dictatorship! I cannot wait for next year election!

I beg to differ Ass holes are useful getting rid of waste products, and hot gasses. No one can say the same for Harper. He collects waste products ( his Senators), and generates hot gasses.

But if the liberals get into power you will not have the money to see an escort as taxes will go up ( a lot ). BTW. I think the young Trudeau will not pull it off, too much of a dictator.

As for the word pervert, well what can we say? we are in a way... im a perv :p im not ashamed of it

You're a perv in the exact same way that Peter McKay is. Given his over the top admonishment I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't partaken - likely in another country where he is unknown. He's no rocket scientist but not dumb enough to do it in Canada.

The politicians who advocate, propose and support "anti-prostitution" legislation tend to be those who use the services of sex workers themselves, IMHO. Look at those politicians in the good old USA that were staunch supporters or anti-homosexual legislation -- they were eventually outed by their own homosexual conduct and actions. So, I bet Mr. Harper frequently uses the services of sex workers for his pleasure, indulgence and self-hating. Mr. Harper wants to become the Putin of Canada.

Time to brush up on German.

Don't be too sure on that front. The EU recently passed a resolution that all member states will strive to adopt the Nordic model. The resolution is non-binding but they are expected to move the agenda forward under the hawk eyes of radical feminist amazons and the church going do gooder busy bodies. My hope is that the recent unpopularity in Europe of all things coming out of Brussels will slow things down a bit. Even if things go downhill in the Fatherland, the Swiss will hold out for at least a bit longer not being part of the EU mess yet.

By then perhaps old age will be upon us and we would any way want to spend the rest of our days in prayer and contemplation in preparation for the afterlife - possibly in a hobbyist's paradise.

Right now though here in Montreal it feels like the last days of the Reich.

I sincerely hope that even if these forums survive no one writes a review and thus put the places in jeopardy. But there are idiots who will insist on writing and there will be other morons who will write PMs in the naive belief that the person at the other end is bound to be hobby friendly and not a spy of the radical feminist variety or a church type.

I am now afraid of amendments to this law - that could make it more formidable. If the law passes as is with all the holes they either won't get a conviction or even if they manage to get one there is a good chance that it will be overturned upon appeal. If that happens, they could stop enforcing. On the other hand after readings in parliament, the law could get shored up with amendments and then it will really weigh down hobbyists.

After the disaster that Ms Bedford has wrought upon us, I am now challenge shy. With the new law, risks can be managed, one can even be in compliance with the letter of the law. Also, with the blanket immunity the girls will be getting, it could actually draw in talent in even greater numbers.

However if the law is improved upon with the inputs from the very critics who oppose it, it could turn into a real monster. Once again a case of "think carefully what you wish for - you may actually get it".

Does someone know if being a member of MERB will be a crime too? Do I have to delete my account here soon?

No, nothing in the bill forbids talking about prostitution or being a member of a board.

Prophetofdoom, I don't see how they can make it more bad. According to the present version, anyone, anywhere, who gives something in exchange for the hope of having sex is a criminal. Sex act is not even defined and could be anything. Essentially all men are criminals and the police choose who they are going to arrest. I don't see any loophole that could save a client if there is solid proof. But that's the good point; it's almost impossible to get proof.

Patron,
100% agree with you about outcall escorting.
will be impossible for LE to make significant arrests and prosecute.
LE will have more easy tasks with incalls and massage parlors.
The new Law doesnt bring anything new on this.
Street prostitution and their clients will be the primary targets.
Harper's government wants to make it a moral issue in order to keep his conservative base voting for him in the
2015 election.

Let's oppose him with financial support to the ''ladies'' going to SCC in future.

After all , two things unites french and english canadians.
1)Love of hockey
2)Love of beautiful ladies and the right to spend an hour with a ''companion''

Mr.Prime minister,
with your illogical cuts in CBC programming (soon no more hockey nights on CBC)
and his new Law, you will have accomplished 200% more for the
Unity of Canada than all your predecessors.

LOL
