Well not newbie as such but new to Merb and new to Montreal. Live in the USA 
but close to the border (near Detroit) and find myself going to Toronto and Niagara Falls a few times a year. Coach Canada now has a new bus service called the Mega Bus that leaves for Montreal all the time from Toronto...and its CHEAP, like $18 one way at certain times or the day. So for my next trip I am planing on spending just one night in Toronto and then taking the Mega Bus to Montreal.
Seems very cool here, I am on Terb alot but not as much this year it seems.
