While they're implementing changes to messages, do you think you could change or drop the character limit? I know space used to cost a fortune but that's no longer the case, and limiting PMs to a total of 40 seems to negate the need to limit characters. At a minimum increase the count to 5000 or something, 10k would be even better. I know it's something small but it's a source of frustration with little benefit.

Has anyone else noticed that it's impossible to post using iPhone iOS 7? I also thought it was working on the iPad iOS 7 but it only works when you quote another post, otherwise each time you hit a key the keyboard disappears.
Any solution to this in the works?
And this with my iPad, also running iOS 7.
Have you considered getting smaller fingers?
reply with quote works. Reply feature does not work with ipad. Testing it now.

It is on IOS 7.0.4, though I doubt that this bug will be fixed in the coming 12 months especially if it is affecting only some members.
Thanks HFE, I thought it was just me. Again using iPhone 4S, only with quoting something can I reply. Using 7.0.4 and earlier versions of iOS 7. Also tried using both Chrome for iPhone and Safari. Strange that it only is a problem for some users.
I just found one work around though. I can reply to a post without quoting one if I use the voice feature on my iPhone 4S. Speaking instead of typing, although I may get some odd looks shot at me in the office.

I have found a way to make it work and i am posting this from an iPad. There are two arrows < and > at the top of the keyboard. Click on the < one and make sure it is highlighted (that is colored black) and then start typing, the keybord will not vanish again.
After a few tries I was able to succeed in this. The problem was that the arrows would disappear very quickly before I could hit it.
