my O my how things change in a mere 7 months :p

This is how good the Wings are: They played today missing 2 of the 5 best players in the world (Datsyuk and Lidstrom) as well as the solid and dependable Kris Draper...and they still won 6 to 1!

Lets reflect on tonights rambling's by the man in the "mirror"

in another addition of "The BS goes round".. i think someone looking into the "mirror" is puffing off the "bipolar doobie" versus the "home grown doobie" tonight (ah hell, throw in a 12 pack of molsons as well, as no one is this f'ed up off a doob) .......... ahhhhhhhhhh all is well in Hockey land afterall........not to push you over the edge or anything but........... "go LEAFS go"??? habs lost tonight btw ;)........ but amazingly they are 4 points ahead of the leafs with a game in hand on dec 28th,.!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting - this coming from someone who was raving about "Battle of the Blades"

Good to see you didn't jump off the Champlain bridge!! :D

Although i must admit i'm surprised you're back today since your Habs lost against the injury-riddled Senators last night, even though the Habs' favorite referee, Carey Fraser, disallowed a good goal (hello, Alain Cote!) by Chris Neil late in the 2nd.

Oh well, you can't win 'em all, eh? Even though the Habs have been playing great hockey since Markov's return, allowing just under 50 shots a game & only shooting less than half of that number at the opposing team's net, they played great, right? Very well deserved wins, even though Halak & Price saved the fort again & again. Yep, Markov's return sure had a positive impact on that sad-sack team! Way to go, Markov! :D

Goalies are part of a team.A big detail the laffs seem to be unaware of;Toskala and even the so called ''monster'' havent been exactly sharp as of late.

actually the Leafs have been very sharp the last 2 weeks, in the last five games they have allowed 10 goals in regulation time meanwhile the Habs have allowed 10 goals in their last 5 games as well in regulation...... i would say that both teams have been equally as sharp in goal "as of late"

I'd add that the Leafs have been sharp all season except for possibly 5 games. But they've kept running into Patrick Roy clones on a few given nights! Some of them named Miller, Roloson, Halak, etc.

Strange though because Doc usually goes back and deletes or edits his most ridiculous posts a few days later. :D

Thanks G1G but it's pretty easy to shoot those two sitting ducks.

As for your observation on Doc's frequent attempts to either re-write or erase history, I think everyone has noticed it. Kinda reminds me of Richard Nixon - I wonder if he was a closet habs fan too, like Doc and Iggy?

lets see, if the leafs are so bad then why on dec 28th , are you a measly 4 points ahead? ........ and we also started out 0-7-1 and you are on a 4 game winning streak....... start the habs parade! :D

You surprise me Ig - this is ALMOST a good question.

Allow me to correct your errors. It SHOULD read: If the habs are so bad then why are the leafs behind them (and almost every other team in the NHL)?

As a bonus I'll even supply the answer: It's because the leafs SUCK the big one. Even their best (ha ha) offensive player "merging superstar Phil Kessel" (to quote your infamous phrase) has gone pointless for what - six games? Let's be fair though: he would have scored against the habs...but sadly he never learned how to put a puck in an open net.

Cairo's tendencies to stalk me (everyone can see he's obsessed with me), especially today, have got me worried.......

(But why should i be surprised about the biggest closet Habs fan in the world?)

1. That's Mister Cairo to you Holliday.
2. It's not called stalking - it's called setting the record straight after your desperate attempts to conceal the statements you've made.
3. I know you read all my posts with great anticipation so surely to God you should know I'm not a habs fan. What I am is a Wings fan who hates the freakin leafs.
4. The posts I dug up for my year-end review clearly indicate that there are many proud habs fans and exactly two - and only two! - people misguided enough to cheer for the stinkin leafs. Coincidentally, those two - and only two! - have also been revealed through the quotes from 2009 to be the world's two BIGGEST closet hab fans. Guess who? That's right, you and the president of your fan club Iggy.

and? it took you this long to figure that out? ... do i need to explain to you what it meant? .......... are you hammering the molsons tonight or what?????? I know your fake team the red wings are currently out of a playoff spot and ur "real" team the habs are barely ahead of the Leafs but WOW!!!!! whats up with you tonight.....

One more time (sigh): the habs are not my team. (You've made it clear however that they are a close second to the leafs in your heart.)

As for the Wings, I told you long ago that they're in a rebuilding phase and will not win the Cup this year. In fact it might be 2 or 3 years before they seriously challenge for the Cup again.

Since Wings fans are highly intelligent people who know and understand hockey, we understand the need for this. Rebuilding is necessary - something the leafs have never learned, which is why they stink so badly year after year after year.

Needless to say, even during their rebuilding phase, the Wings are far better than the stinkin' leafs. There's a REASON that Detroit is called Hockeytown and Toronto is called Hogtown.

December 28: 4 points. January 3: 8 points. Didn't take long to double the difference.

News flash: there won't be a habs parade. There might be a leafs parade though - if they don't finish last in the NHL I'm sure their fans will think it's worthy of a celebration. All the leafs have to do is play their hearts out and hold on to that crucial 28th spot!
