When news first broke of Canada's Olympic soccer team being caught using a drone to spy on an opponent's training session, there was significant shock and surprise among many athletes and officials. Just not at U.S. Soccer.
Just watched the first half of USA-Serbia basketball- UConn 58, Serbia 49. USA led by 21 points from Kevin Durant and stellar play by LeBron James. But the USA really had all kinds of problems covering Nikola Jokic. Serbia is a very good team and will likely be hard to blow out.

South Sudan waits for fix after wrong anthem
The wrong national anthem played prior to South Sudan's men's Olympic basketball game vs. Puerto Rico. The correct anthem was played about three minutes later.
USA Girls beating Germany 4-1- sending a very strong message to Spain, France and England that there is a North American team that will challenge them.
France is world ranked number 2......Canada needed some drone action to beat them. That wasn't happening.

Domination of Germany should make opponents fear USWNT again
New manager Emma Hayes has said that teams no longer fear the USWNT. That may no longer be true after Sunday's destruction of Germany in the Olympics.
They didn’t win in o/t. They won in the extra time portion of regular time, which occurs in every soccer game. The referee takes account of time wasted during play stoppages like an injury to a player & later adds that lost time to the regulation time after the mandatory 90 minutes. It’s what would happen in hockey if the clock wouldn’t be stopped at the whistles during an injury, penalty or fight.
