On agencies confidentiality

Hi All!

Just wondering how do agencies manage confidentiality these days. Not complaining at all, I have been client for some time and no issues whatsoever. But just occurred to me what happens to all the SMS and calls we make to the agencies. How do agencies treat this info? Do they delete the historical info of past clients? I mean, they have our phone numbers and I do not know if that info may be leaked somehow...maybe I'm being a bit paranoic lol.

They keep our numbers. This allows them to keep track of good/bad clients.

I'll say that I'm sure that all the agencies manage our confidentiality to the best of their abilities. But I'll also say that if your counting on someone else to maintain your confidentiality your sadly mistaken.

They keep tabs. Recently I learned the agency informed the girl our name, (real name). She knew it / blurted it out w/o me saying it to her.

In this game, you are responsible for your own confidentiality and personal info. I'm sure the reputable agencies do their best to keep things private, but ultimately it's your responsibility to look out for yourself.

This is why I have never, and will never, give out my real full name, do e-transfers or give copies of my real ID. Some indies ask for this stuff and that just means I'll never be one of their clients. I understand these indies are doing this for their safety but I also have to protect myself.

I totally agree. I have never given out my full name nor any official ID. I need to protect myself, so for that reason, I stick to agencies.

To each their own. I can understand others giving out personal info, and most probably nothing will happen. For me, I feel more secure by NOT giving out personal info.

Gazoo, for what it is worth. what I found out was from a MAJOR agency. (I don't want to sound alarmist but sticking to the agencies does not help with regard to basic personal info. They do their research to protect /arm the girls with info if something happens.

Watch out next time if it has been customary to present your name during your greeting... they may already know what it really is.

I don't know why you think it's so weird that the agency tells the SP who they will be meeting and when? Just use a fake name when you book if you don't want them to know

Your name appears on the phone screen when you call them, a lot of agencies do not accept masked calls.

One time, I gave my FIRST name to one of the major agencies that I’ve been dealing with for a long time. So yes, one time a lady did greet me by my first name.

I doubt that they have other personal info about myself, but anything is possible. In any case, I’ve been dealing with them for years and I never had any issues (about personal info).

As long as you treat the girl properly, I assure you she probably won’t remember your name when you walk out the door. So if your name is Bob and you tell her it’s John , it doesn’t make a difference to her. Pinky promise . And if you treat her badly she has a name that she can give the agency to blacklist.

The best thing to do is use a prepaid phone. I used to have a prepaid phone for all hobbying business, I top it off with cash. Zero connection to me and I never use the number for anything else.

But I got lazy years ago and I always forget to bring it with me when I travel, so I started using my real phone number. I am still very uncomfortable with it. Recently, after dealing with a slightly sketchy agency, I think I am going to buy and start using a prepaid phone again.

Im not sure what to make of that statement… things went left after you used your real info? That’s unfortunate. Just think of how many girls that the screening process saves from terrible encounters though. I think the benefit outweighs the risk of knowing your real name.
