Not directly related to the hobby, and probably more an issue for those who live in the middle third of the city, but I thought of starting this thread where we can bitch about the stupid orange cones.
It does have a indirect impact in our ability to get around town to see our favourite providers.
So many examples of stupid orange cones I dont know where to start, but I will start with two current ones i saw today.
For several weeks now Saint-Urbain from Beaubien to Bernard has been closed. The build up upstream is painful...there is clearly 1 whole lane that could of been kept open thoughout, I've seen it by bike. Just no effrot to accomodate drivers and to squeeze 1 lane open during the never ending work there.
Another example is Sherbrooke going west just before Saint-Laurent. Two lanes merge into one a half block AFTER the intersection, but the right turn lane up Saint Laurent is blocked off BEFORE the intersection. This serves no purpose and causes delays upstream from the intersection for absolutely no reason. It took me 3 light cycles to get thorugh there when it could of taken just one.
