The Rangers seem to have Pittsburgh's number over the years, but they'll be without star defenceman Ryan McDonagh for this series. They also have other injuries to deal with. Pittsburgh will be getting Geno Malkin back, along with Marc-Andre Fleury.

I'm picking the Penguins in 6 games.

Smuler, Ryan McDonagh suffered a serious injury to his right hand while blocking a shot on April 4th. He hasn't played since. It was ruled as an upper body injury. My sources told me it was fractured. The Rangers are not saying anything.

His condition has been slowly improving and there's talk he may be back 'if needed' in the series against Pittsburgh. There are some days where he's able to grip a hockey stick with his right hand, other days he can't.

My educated guess would be that he'll likely miss the Pens/Rangers series. Would he be back for a game 7? I'd say it's likely.

The way the Pens are playing, i would not be surprised "IF" they took this series in 4 or 5 games but when King Henrik is your goalie, you always have a chance. MA Fluery has had a fantastic season as well and he has gotten better with age, not uncommon with goalies.

Lundquist hasn't been as sharp as in the past. He's not getting any younger. Fleury is coming back from a second concussion. I don't know how sharp or focused he'll be. So what i'm saying is that i'd be surprised if the series is won by any of the goalies' heroics.

So much for those two goalies, both are out of the game.

While i initially picked the Penguins to beat the Rangers, a buddy of mine approached me before the series began and asked me if i was interested in betting in a series parlay against him. Among the series offered to me was the Penguins/Rangers series. He had Pittsburgh. So did i, so i passed. I then chose Chicago and Tampa. But then just before the drop of the puck in game 1, i thought about it and there's no way i'd bet against King Henrik. So i told my buddy i had changed my mind and i'd take the Rangers. Well, just a few minutes into that game, King Henrik went down and it didn't look very good for me. Well, Fleury still hasn't fully recovered from his most recent concussion and Henrik is back! And on top of that, Malkin is back, which means that Pittsburgh will start losing since for whatever reason, they don't play as well with Malkin in the lineup.

Go Rangers!! (sorry Panthere, but i love making money! lol))

It's starting to look like the Penguins got Phil Kessel for a bargain. He's been awesome since the second half of the regular season and he'll definitely be picked to play for Team USA at the World Cup.

Although he's no longer with the Leafs, i'm very happy for him. I always thought he was a good guy with a lot of talent who got a bad rap from the whiners in Toronto.

Washington wins in overtime!! On most angles, the puck didn't look to be in. But there was that last angle which possibly showed that the puck had likely barely crossed the goal line.

Grrrr.....;)
