True practice common sense with the police , don't show attitude or better just stay silent period.

This is not the goal of this thread the goal is to EXPOSE THE STRATEGIES COPS USE TO STRONG ARM PEOPLE .

EXAMPLE:

1. Calling you at home or mailing you at home to then getting you to call the police and confess, your sins, which then they have reason to keep records or prosecute you.

2. Stopping you with a SP in your car even though you are doing nothing and then scaring you and keeping a record on you in their computer even though you are not charged with anything.

I suggest you watch the video links I posted and you will see why this is dangerous advice.

Kepler. You are naive.
There is a diffrence between a murder investigation and a nosy cop.
Next time there is a road block and you've been drinking, and he asks if you've been drinking (while he's smelling your breath like they do).
Say yeah you've had six beers instead of saying you had a beer. Do you think he'll let you go because you said six?
Or don't answer. Just sit there looking at your windshield. And when he says get out of the car. Just sit there.

Guys I don't mean to start acting like a mod, but please stay on topic.

This thread is not about who can show the biggest attitude to the police
, its about what strategies the police use to intimidate mongers and how to guard against it. Again, please is there are any personal examples of how the police intimidated you IN REGARDS TO SP's and SP's only, please post.

Thanks.

note #1: If this thread goes awry I will ask mods to intervene, and we all know how that usually goes.

I want to be clear: I never show attitude to the police. I don't recommend that anyone do so. The advice in the videos I posted is about how to resist police intimidation tactics.

But if you just wanted examples, then I guess the vids are off topic and the mods can feel free to delete the posts.

Kepler, thanks for the post. I took the time to study a few of these and I believe they are very helpful.

Example: Cop Says, "Don't mind if I take a look" and we are conditioned to say "No" as in no I don't mind or do we mean "No I dont authorize a search." The cop takes the "No" response as "No I dont mind." The answer should be "I do not authorize a search" and close the door of your car when you get out of it.

Ocean: How in the world can these examples that Kepler provided links to be off topic?

Comment: I pay a tremendous amount of money in taxes and other than pursuing the hobby a little in the US, I do not break the law and yet I hate cops. I think they are just a little better than most of the criminals they are supposed to be trying to catch. To me more cops on the street equates to more traffic tickets and more petty harassment like Ocean mentioned.

Hi guys the videos shown form flexyourrights.org, are good for general situations with the polcie and they teach you common sense yes......BUT this thread should be specific to
how to deal with intimidation with the police in regards to interacting with an SP/SW.

You guys are mentioning lying not lying to the police. What should be happening is
Hi, I am member such and such I was driving with xyz and the cops stopped me
and my female companion and this is what happened.

While suggesting strategies like don't answer any questions except your id's may be valid
when we are getting into an argument about whether to lie to teh police or not.

LET US HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING :

STEP 1: POST ABOUT EXPERIENCES SPECIFICALLY TO DEALING WITH SW AND LE.

STEP 2: TALK ABOUT LEGISLATION/STRATEGY IE:WHAT IS THE SOLICITATION AND COMMUNICATION LAW , WHAT STRATEGIES WE CAN USE LIKE: LIE (BAD IDEA) OR SAY NOTHING(GOOD IDEA) ETC.

There has been entrapment with streetwalkers in Montreal If I am to believe an ex-coworker who allowed a policewoman posing as SW into his car around year 2002.

Thank you Mike, can you please elaborate because I think police women usually do not get into cars.

My understanding of the situation is as such. From outside they go hey baby what do you want? "Oh I want to fuck you in your bum maam", then without sitting in your vehicle, they radio their friends in a van near by and they quickly block your car and arrest you.
This is why I always pay attention to vans with people in them parked on the street at night, or near a cross street.

So to recap we have identified three strategies the police use:

1.Getting a female cop to pose as a SW and with or without sitting in your car to arrest.
DETERRENCE: Open your eyes to people sitting in cars or in cross streets, especially near a hooker. Better walk around sp areas in stead of driving. I think certain banned members preferred that idea. Or best incall to avoid problems.

2. Getting a letter from the police to call them:
DETERRENCE:Best:get a lawyer to call them and ask them what the F they want.
Next best call and admit to nothing. Ask for the for the officer's badge number (matricule) ask for the PDQ# and the PDQ phone number, and ask for when the incident took place and ask for a REPORT NUMBER of this "incident" from the police and contact a lawyer to see what your rights are IE how you can get out of the police database.

3. Having teh police stop you or block you while you are parked:
DETERRENCE: DO not park your car anywhere but at a motel. One of the conditions for the Canadian Criminal code regarding prostitution or "communication for the intent of solicitation" is that your car has to be parked in a visible area, and you have to be discussing prostitution in your car. Of course this is hard to prove, but the police can write that they saw you park. Again check the law for accuracy but I think I am reasonably close as I usually do my homework. By god's sake please say nothing to teh police.

Keep it coming guys .....surely there must be SP's on this board who have had contact with the law.

If you are forced to interact with police, remember that lying to the police can itself be a crime! So never lie to them. .

I thought only lying to a Federal officer was a crime and you are referring to the US aren't you?

No, I am talking about Canada. Lying to the police could be considered "Obstruction of justice". I don't see why it would be limited only to federal officers in the USA. But the USA has 51 different criminal jurisdictions, as opposed to Canada which has just one.

Also, of course, lying can be considered evidence of guilt (see video #3 I posted) for any crime, and can give the officer further probable cause to search you. "Shutting up" cannot be used this way against you.

between you and "them"
let me give real advice here.If you are stop by police driving a vehicule(in control of vehicule on public road) you HAVE to identify yourself and the vehicule. If you are not driving but walking or just standing somewhere or a passenger in a vehicule you do NOT have to identify yourself "unless and if "you are being arrested and charged with something...so first question to ask is :am i being under arrest AND charged with something?if yes please read the charge and bring me to the station where i will be happy to identify myself, they cannot search your car or home without a judge signed warrant(so leave your wallet or documents in it, locked),and identifying yourself in Canada is only stating your name, date of birth, adress of residence is for the judge...you do not have to supply any proof of ID,they have the burden of proving you wrong..To SP:,if police walks into your place of work "just to ask who is there or only visiting" throw them out politely,if they insist or threaten you :ask THEIR id and call police station to complain, you are a citizen with the same rights and obligations as any other. If they have a warrant, ask to see it and read it first to verify date, adress and for what...some unscrupulous cops have been known to just flash a document that did not really apply to the specifics...And always refuse to be interrogated(politely)and ask to call a lawyer.Do not answer ANY question even asked in a friendly manner, they are not on your side they are arresting you...This is your right and the best one, never be cocky or smart or agressive, just be polite and firm.

Duetoday,
No offense but tat reads like you're making it up as you typed it. Can you support all that?

I don't need to know right away but it would be cool to know what our rights are in the unlikely event the conservatives win a few elections in a row and we become the NSA, Northern States of America.

It is true, a driver of a vehicle has to show his drivers license and registration upon request by the police and they do not need to supply you with a reason.

They do not have a right to harass people who are walking in the street without valid reason.

If you are arrested, remember this statement, after giving your name, address and DOB, "I will be happy to answer all of your questions as soon as my lawyer gets here."

Guys this is true that I am getting scared of conservatives breaking our liberal values, and especially our freedoms, with their brand of millitant Christiaity, but please stay on topic.

STEP #1: Provide experiences IN THE CONTEXT OF SP/SW'S IN REGARDS to the police.

Step #2: Once we know about all the strategies that the police use, we will be educated enough to discuss deterences. I have done some (explain deterences on how to handle police).

I am getting concerned that no one is telling their police experiences , come on guys
if you say I was busted as a john and the police read this no one will exactly know who
you are. I know there have been a few merbers that have had issues with the law,
if you do not post here, we will neer be able to combat the police overstepping their rights.

Am I to understand that there are no merbers who are lawyers willing to lend a helping
keystroke?

Here is how they get you

he following activities are unlawful (the law applies throughout Canada):

* owning, running, occupying or transporting anyone to a bawdy house (ss. 210 [6] and 211 [7]); a "bawdy house" means a brothel and is defined as "a place that is kept or occupied, or resorted to by one or more persons, for the purpose of prostitution or to practice acts of indecency" [4]
* procuring or living on the avails of prostitution (s. 212 [8]),
* paying for sex from anyone under the age of 18,
* public communication for the purposes of prostitution (s. 213 [5]); a public place is defined as "any place to which the public have access as of right or by invitation..... and any motor vehicle located in a place.... open to public view"
* bringing someone to Canada to work as a prostitute,
* bringing someone from Canada to work as a prostitute outside Canada.

From the Canadian Criminal Code:

210. (1) Every one who keeps a common bawdy-house is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years. Landlord, inmate, etc. (2) Every one who (a) is an inmate of a common bawdy-house, (b) is found, without lawful excuse, in a common bawdy-house, or (c) as owner, landlord, lessor, tenant, occupier, agent or otherwise having charge or control of any place, knowingly permits the place or any part thereof to be let or used for the purposes of a common bawdy-house, is guilty of an offence punishable on summary [5]
213. (1) Every person who in a public place or in any place open to public view (a) stops or attempts to stop any motor vehicle, (b) impedes the free flow of pedestrian or vehicular traffic or ingress to or egress from premises adjacent to that place, or (c) stops or attempts to stop any person or in any manner communicates or attempts to communicate with any person for the purpose of engaging in prostitution or of obtaining the sexual services of a prostitute is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.

Definition of “public place” (2) In this section, "public place" includes any place to which the public have access as of right or by invitation, express or implied, and any motor vehicle located in a public place or in any place open to public view. [6]

So in English:

Incalls are illegal, and if your landlord knows that you are receiving clients at your place then he has grounds to evict you.

running an agency is illegal.

being supported by a ( or several) prostitute(s) is illegal (however women in any other profession may support their boyfriend)

street work is illegal as you would be communication in public

Paying for your American(or from anywhere else) ATF to visit you in Montreal is illegal.

Bringing your ATF with you on a trip is illegal

I think this about sums it up.

Thanks Naughtylady . I think they modified the law before it was just stopping a vehicle .
Now its something stupid like, if you apply the brakes on your car to look in the direction of a hooker and whistle, you are guilty of a crime by the church of the SPVM.

Anyway , Naughtylady can you please give us some stories of your encounter with police?

BTW if there are other SP's on this board, you can generally describe your stories and events.

I already PM'd Stella, I would love for them to get involved in the conversation.

I also think that if a lawyer on this board could either PM me or post here would be helpful to teh merb community overall.

Anyhow I think I have made some good inroads here, I have revealed a lot of police tactics and some detterence tips. WIth a little luck a lawyer and Stella can get involved.
