What is the protocol in the following situation?
I was on the table this evening (doesn't matter the location, but it has had or continues to have a no-review policy, and since it could happen anywhere, the "where" is immaterial to the question), when the lights go out. Over 15000 subscribers were losing power at that moment according to Hydro Quebec. The room was pitch-black, not even a candle (remember when most parlours lit a candle no matter what for ambiance, even Booseeko's Studio Celeste?). This was around the 45 minute mark, just before she was going to introduce Dick Johnsson to Taylor Buckner. Most of my enjoyment of the final minutes of a session is taken from watching the girl stroke my appendage or watch her swallow it whole. Thus, when the girl said "oh, I can still bring you off in the dark", I declined the invitation and stumbled to get my clothes on and leave, saying that, without power, the metro wouldn't be working and it would take me 3X as long to get home by bus. I would not have fully enjoyed the stroke-in-the-dark experience, so why should I have taken it? I didn't ask for any money back even though it was a 45-minute session instead of 60, which I think is fair compensation for the girl...but I don't think I should have taken an unwanted option just because she wanted to pad her earnings, since it wasn't my fault the power went out, and power failures are a cost of doing business...other retailers lost sales too when their cash registers and credit card terminals failed to operate. How would fellow MERBites have handled this Quebec Sait Faire moment?
