Despite all my years of keeping abreast of politics, I've never come close to being an activist of any sort. That all changed when America picked the idiot god.

I donated money to several candidates, I engaged acquaintances about voting, I got on the phone for countless hours even on weekends with complete strangers about voting or returning their mail-in ballots. That those tiny efforts (and others helping too) contributed to turning my state blue for the first time in decades is the best "Fuck You!" to Donald Trump. So, even if Pennsylvania was the state that put Biden over the top, a win is still a win.

Today is only a little cause for celebration. The country is still doomed when Donald Trump's rhetoric and performance from the past 4 years only caused a popular vote loss of about 4 million. There is no reasoning with at least half of this country.

For once I agree with you wholeheartedly. A career con man with numerous allegations of sexual misconduct and ignoramus must be a genius promoter to have inspired loyalty from tens of millions.
