Where do you see that and I never said what you wrote. Did you even bother to read the articles? That whole blaming the unvaccinated is really getting silly. Accept that the vaccines are a fail.

Here is another one ->

And another one ->

This particular article states that of the 95 infected in Montreal with Omicron 90% were fully vaccinated. But I guess the stats does not matter to you.
Soon this phase is going to be called the wave of the double vaxxed as they need to take the booster. It is understandable however, that the people that believed so much in these vaccines to be in shock and denial. I do not assume they will accept this reality anytime soon. Stats are one thing and reality is another. Suffice to say that we are back to where we started to understand that the miracle solution, well, was not the answer.

Vaccinations were just a thin salve on a gaping wound. Governments do not want to look like they are not in control of a problem so if the virus surges, something has to be blamed. Do you think any government will blame itself? Blame is most easily laid on low hanging fruit, so you find some low hanging fruit, and lay it.

statistics still show for now that the unvaccinated are still X15 times more likely to be hospitalized than the unvaccinated, this may change with the Omicron and the gap was closing all the time with the Delta also.

The thing that has changed though is that you are only x2 as likely to be infected if you are unvaccinated and this gap is still closing also.
Basically this means that vaccine passports are soon going to be totally useless and a waste of time unless you use them to charge for medical services for Covid for the unvaccinated.
It has gotten to the point that you can very easily both spread and get the virus even if you are vaccinated.

Logically if you want to stay out of the hospital and improve your chances of not dying from this you will get both doses and the booster also as soon as you can.

Curfews, partial lockdowns and restricting non essential services just to the vaccinated are becoming almost useless it doesn’t seem to curb either the spread or getting infected. So why punish both the people and businesses.
Yo Yo Legault has completely dropped the ball with the booster shots and his two elves are scrambling like crazy looking for scapegoats to blame it on and it seems they have picked the 6 month interval suggested by Health Canada.
It is no wonder Quebec leads Canada in both hospitalizations and death,. Seems we have the team in place to continue our lead in that, strange that they are still so popular.
Why weren’t health care workers given the booster shots at the same time as the elderly in CHSLD that they take care of and why aren’t all teachers given booster shots seeing as the majority of the outbreaks are in schools right now.

As usual I agree with what you wrote.

Unfortunately we will never charge for medical services.

Is the passport to prevent the unvaccinated contaminating the vaccinated or preventing the unvaccinated to put himself in a position to be infected and put the system at risk ?

I think it's a small percentage the latter and a big percentage to coerce people.

Example : 100 unvaccinated enter a bar and drink all night. 100 vaccinated do the same. How many unvaccinated end up in the hospital vs the vaccinated ?

You really think the unvaccinated need to go to a bar to put themselves at risk? It has gotten to the point where the 100 vaccinated are just as likely to get infected, that was my point.
If the unvaccinated don’t care enough about themselves to improve their chances of not ending up in the hospital or dying their chances in my opinion remain the same whether you let them in to the bar or not. They just simply don’t give a shit where they go or what they do, in their mind vaccines are the devil and so are masks and distancing. It stops them from living life to the fullest lol.

I agree with you that the unvaccinated will never be charged for medical services, no politician has the balls to do that.
Not Yo Yo Legault nor Mr. selfie JT.

The first part is actually right as that maybe bars are a bit more at risk than other places but lots of contamination occur in work places or family gatering etc. If anything the movie theatre is probably one of the safest place. And im not saying it just cause its what i miss the most. Just by pure logic. That said im used to rooms of 15 peoples or so, maybe its a different thing when its a friday night with a capacity crowd. Its been a long time since i gone at that time cause i can't stand young adults making all type of noises with their food (slurping drinks, cracking pop corn sacs) and talking.

Second part is not true tough. Yeah i hate the masks and yeah im sick of them being used everywhere, but i wouldn't be against using them in SOME limited places (public transport for instance). Distancing... well it depends what you mean... Contacts are part of life. You can't try to remove contacts from family and friends forever. Contacts with strangers tough, this i agree as long as its possible. And finally no the vaccine is not the devil lol, i said it many times its great for the peoples at risk. Yeah sure there is a few peoples who believe in crazy stuff and all, but its not all the unvaccinated.

There is one important thing to note and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to see it... Covid is a reverse snowbird lol. It leave during summer and come back in winter. Im dumb simplifying but thats pretty much that. Yes there is a few cases in summer but they are way smaller in numbers and everything is under countrol. Its not about "delta" or "omicron" or "alpha omega lamba" or whatever name they use, its simply about it being a coronavirus and being in its season. I just don't understand they didn't saw it coming in fall.

So a solution, not the ideal one, but one, would had been to let peoples live their life normally during late spring to late fall, and then when winter comes, just put back the crazy restrictions BEFORE things get out of hand.

That way peoples would had least get SOME good time and would be more willing to comply to the bad stuff later. No matter what they do later, the cases will decrease by March/April and im sure we will have another fine summer at 100 cases/day or less. The question is, will they let us enjoy it? Could they finally drop the mask everywhere, the segregational pass, and all the other crap? At least for the time of summer?

I saw on the news tonight "for now" a return to lockdown and curfew was not in the plan. Thats coded words to say its coming later. Im sure of it. When they start talking about something, its not a good sign.

HM,
I have to admit that you are likeable and bright , and a lot of what you write makes sense.

I just can`t understand your stand on vaccines. Its not only the old and vulnerable who get seriously sick and die but the healthy 50 year olds and 20 year olds and last week a 2 month old healthy baby at Ste Justine hospital.. Most scary of all are the complications that arise during and after covid.
Yes there are, and maybe later on, some miniscule complications to vaccines .....and there is the unknown.
The harm done to the unvaxxed by covid far, far outweighs any miniscule harm done by the vax. And then there is the frequent harmful known and unknown effects of catching covid. The latest is called black fungus that has started attacking seriously ill covid patients in their mid fifties. Most die once they get it. Good luck.
If you decide to play russian roulette would you pick the gun with 5 empty chambers or 1 empty chamber.

HM,

Since the start most peoples dying or getting hospitalized were peoples over 60. There has been a few small % of peoples in their 30s but even PRE-vaccine it was super low. So as i said many times i think my chances are good if i do get it to have mild to low symptoms. I think i did write on this before, but it started for me as simply deciding i didn't need it, when cases were under control and everything in summer. But i was open to reconsider if needed later on. But considering my social contacts are extremely low to begin with, i am really not in the most risky position.

But since they gone crazy with forcing vaccines, my stance is about 50/50 about medical AND defiance. I absolutely HATE the concept of a domestic passeport. Even if i would had willingly gotten vaccinated i would had NOT be ok with showing papers to go see a movie or drink a beer. This is NOT RIGHT at all. This is autoritarian governing and its scary.

Legault and his governement has been harming so much the population since the start of this. Making dumb decisions after dumb decisions and right now even some of the most loyal pawns (at list in appearance) are starting to question.

Magalie Lépine-Blondeau réagit aux nouvelles mesures sanitaires (msn.com)

She's right. Its time to stop trying to change your breaks when the issue is your transmission to use a dumb analogy. Everytime cases rises, Legault's reflex is to limit or close the same sector first, when some of said sectors have not been a concern at all since the start ! Just so it looks he "does something".

Im just sick of how the CAQ is dealing with Covid. Im sick of the narrative that unvaccinated are bad peoples, complotist and other deragatory terms too.

So there is a lot of factors now when it comes to vaccines for me.

Not just Lego, all G7 countries involved with the UN are doing it. Did you see what they did in Ontario? As of tonight all bars and restaurants must close by 11pm (only take out is allowed and the sale of alcohol is restricted to 10pm). The Netherlands went to into a full lockdown. Things are more strict in Europe. However some people like Cloudsurf just do not get the point of letting people LIVE the way they want and what it means to have self-accountability. Government's role is not to play grandpa and neither should you. If HM decides to not get vaccinated that is his choice and what is more if he gets sick that will be on him. My problem is with authoritarianism. I am strongly against it as it is so destructive to a healthy thriving society. It has been two years of this nonsense. How long is this to go on? Have you considered the economic damage of this? We are already seeing the mass inflation and it is not done yet, there is more damage coming. Government's solution is always prohibition and it never works the way they think it would. What has the government done to address the problems with the healthcare system? Not much has changed. Still mismanaged big time.

Science is about hearing all views and questioning everything and finding facts but politics is too involved in it. Only what the government wants goes and all other opinions are silenced and nothing the government says can be questioned. Here are some great articles and I agree with these. Public shaming is also one of the tactics used by communist governments by shaming free thinkers and those that go against the government's agenda. Now laughing reactions coming to this post from Liberal/Socialist lovers (lovers of authoritarianism).

CL500 you call me a socialist lover....that`s laughable and you know it. Based on my posting history you should realize that I`m a small c conservative who dislikes Anarchists like you and socialists and fascists. I believe in science and common sense something that is lacking in many of these posts.

Getting back to covid19 there is some new evidence that those who are double vaxxed and have a break thru infection , end up with super antibodies and the best protection against most variants of the virus. Yes the vax will change you and free you.

The reality is there is 2 ways of seeing it now. The first one is letting the virus go rempant, and it WILL kill peoples, but at the end it peoples may develop immunity, stronger, even as you put it Cloudsurf, and the ones that did died will be "sacrified". Not a popular view on paper but ultimately its how most of the virus were downgraded with time, be it the black plague, the spanish flu or whatever. Killed tons of peoples, the others survived, the virus ran out of peoples to infect and kill, mutated in less virulent forms etc. From my understanding the spanish flu didn't disapear in one day, it just because less of a killer as time passed by.

Other solution is the preventive yet autoritarian way. Every fall around November we could close bars, downsize the capacity of certain domain, hell even go on full lockdown early december til mid january/early febuary. It would work... Cases would be lower, less hospitalization, but at what cost? Business would die for sure, especially restaurants and bars.

The way its done now is a reactive way that feel like getting your patch ready when you know that in a few you gonna smash that thing with an axe...

Im no doctor, no scientist, but somehow i knew cases would rise this winter, omicron or no omicron... am i an overseer? lol NO. Its just common logic. How come THEY didn't know it would happen? Why are they waiting that cases rise crazy to act? The issue is, this yoyo thing if they choose to keep doing it, will have to be done every year...

Covid will not disapear... it will loose its momentum, like other viruses. The difference is, we never count cases like we do with Covid when it comes to other viruses. Tons of peoples are tested that have ZERO symptoms, but they must be tested because they travel, or their job force it, or they test classes of kid, whatever... its a lot of cases, but is it a lot of hospitalization? We shall see later. But ultimately, and you can save this post, next winter, around the same time, we will have the same conversation but the variant will be called something else.

So are we stuck in this endless loop of close stuff in winter? Do we simply react every year when the cases rises or we take premptive measures? Measures that will cause harms of their own tough, altough different. Thats a lot of questions to ask. But its questions that must be asked.

Right now i have the feeling Legault is like a cop that knows a bank robbery will happen at 3 pm on a friday, and instead of getting ready to take down the robber before he enter the bank, he wait every time that he rob it and then chase him as he go out and jump in his car... He may catch him, but during that time maybe 5 cars were destroyed, 2 security agents killed, maybe civilians... a cashier traumatized. You get the analogy? Im tire of this way of doing it.

Covid zero sadly has proven inefective. Unless you are an island country and extremely control in a super harsh way the travels , its bound to fail, and even there, unless you keep a super harsh lockdown permanently, its bound to fail.

There is no magic solution, but really just a question that are we willing to sacrifice some peoples to allow life to go back to normality or not? Harsh on paper... i know.

On the optimistic side of things, I think we will have people taking pre-emptive vaccines, just like the flu. We will be much better at self testing. We are just starting. We will have pills that if you do test positive, you take a pill and avoid crowding the hospitals. I think slowly we will develop more immunity, in a controlled way. There is also a whole new generation of vaccine in the works. This is my optimist view.

On the pessimist view, delta and omicron will fornicate and create deadlier, more virulent variants that escape more vaccination. The son of DeathStroke.

If you could have predicted a variant 4x more transmissible, your should be a stock broker.

Reread what I wrote because you did not understand what I wrote, I was not referring to you as a Socialist lover (I know you are a Conservative). I was referring to the guy that reacts laugh emoji at every post that goes against Liberal propaganda. We all know who he is. As for science, do not confuse "Follow The Science" with "Follow the Scientist" because science is objective and factual. Scientists can be sold to the highest bidder. When ppl say follow science they actually mean follow government orders.

And calling me an Anarchist, lol that is laughable. If you read my posts I am a Libertarian. I emphasize freedom, small government, and to put the individual ahead of a collective. I am against collectivism. I am for a free market and social liberty.
