Sure do remember the Queens --I also remember slumming in the Parker House across the street with a bunch of guys and finding a dead rummy under our table. Those were the days of The French Casino on the main( now Cleos I think) Peoppermint Lounge on the main and a pretty open city.We also hung out regulkarly at Esquire Showbar on Stanley with great live bands.

Clubs from the 70s and early 80's
In the late 70's there was a club downtown that had "sculptures" of breasts painted gold on the outside walls. Maybe it was on de la Montagne or nearby. I never went in in those days? Does anyone remember that place? What was it called?
One of my first Montreal clubs was Filles d'Eve on Ste-Catherine; it seemed rather wild in those days (1980).

I was told by an old timer that in the dark ages of hobbying (circa early to mid 1970s), there was this place somewhere close to St. Denis near Pine avenue. What you got at this place was an over priced shoe shine from theis girl while sitting on an elevated shoe shine chair. After the initial shoe shine where you got to look at the girls cleavage (what you get to see everyday on the street today) You were offered an option of doing a shoe shine on the girls shoes. (you pay for the privilage of shining her shoes while she sits in the shoe shine chair, and you get to see up her covered crotch up her skirt) Only after the client paid the entry fee of the shoe shine and giving the shoe shine to the girl, then he was able to propsition the girl for other options.
Has any of you heard of other round about ways where services were offered?

I have very fond memories of the Filles d'Eve.

Filles d'Eve. The girls were good looking and very friendly, sat and talked with you about everything. The dancers used the overhead bars a lot. The lesbian dancers could put on some interesting duo shows. I remember sending drinks over to the biker-like brother of a girl dancing for me. Ended up dating her, and some others too. Really enjoyed the place.

I remember well the club on Ste-Catherine where the girls dancing cast a large silhouette on a frosted window facing the street. It nearly always attracted a bit of crowd. It was actually quite sexy.
I do remember Sex Si Bon on Ste-Catherine; there were some really good looking dancers there; it was also one of the very few downtown clubs where I was actually propositioned by a dancer.
Fille d’ Eves was definitely a fun place.
Wanda’s was just one floor in the basement, painted black, low ceiling, hard small chairs, hot in the summer and always so smoky you felt like you were in a fog. Back in those days the dancers were also the waitresses – remember oldtimers?
I was in Cave du Sexe once; it was one of the ugliest clubs I had ever been in. There was another ugly downstairs club a little east of the Bay but I can’t recall the name.
Yes, I remember Fanstasie (some great looking women) near Alfie’s. Alfie’s had some of the best illegal contact dances around in the pre-contact era. Later it changed names. I walked in and I was apparently taken for an undercover cop. No one moved. All dances stopped. The owner offered me a beer but everyone else stayed far away from me. After about 15 minutes of silence, I left as all the dancers gave me dirty looks.

Evey girl would line up a guy for the last three dances of the night. So every dancer would be up and dancing at the same time. There were naked, gyrating young women as far as one could see in every direction. It seemed wonderfully decadent to me at the time and a real turn on.
Another favorite memory was when Chez Paree just opened (in the early 80’s); it was a bit more rustic then without all the chrome and glass of today. Anyway I was there during a ferocious thunderstorm. It put all the lights out. It was totally pitch black. You couldn’t see your hand in front of your face. The smokers began to light their lighters and matches. Finally, the manager found a candle or two. All the girls began to sing campfire songs in the near total darkness. The owner promised champagne to anyone who stayed until the lights came on. It was so eerie listening to the girls sing and laugh in the dark, no one moved. The guy delivered on the champagne when the lights came back on about 20 minutes later.
I wasn’t in Montreal during the great ice storm but I hear the clubs did quite a business then. Anyone have memories of that?

The "Suzy" cannot be the same; the one I still know has wonderful eyes and everything else going with them (natural 36D). She is 40/41! Still a very nice body!!
