I have a (two-part) question.

A police officer stops me while I'm travelling. I respond (truthfully) that I'm going to visit my GF who lives 50 km away and that she is the only human I have been close to in the past few weeks.
a) Am I liable for a ticket according to current Quebec guidelines?
b) Would the answer to (a) be different if we live on opposite sides of a boundary between regions?

From what I know you need to decide to live together. That is the only alternative you cannot continue visits.

Along the same lines, my daughters are finishing up their exams at U of Ottawa next Monday and want to come back home. Can I go from Mtl to Ottawa by car in a roun trip or will I get stopped by police?

As far as I know, traveling to see a friend is not restricted. Neither is crossing provincial border. I do understand they will tell you to self isolate for two weeks after you arrive at your destination from outside the province.

I heard there are police restricting travel between Ontario and Quebec. I do not know if that is true and if anyone tried to drive recently.

They are checking the bridge between gatineau and ottawa for all non essential travel.

Up north do not try to enter or go north of Tremblant if you do not have a very good reason.

North-East of Montreal I cannot go passed Terrebonne. Not sure how things are for road check on the south-shore up to quebec city and beyond.

Things may have changed but early last week you could go out of Montreal towards Repentigny yes but not west towards Terrebonne (unless you had essential reasons... Many in that area work at Repentigny Hospital for instance).

North of Laval, Terrebonne to the east and Tremblant to the north where locked by police control. That said the control of Laval to north of Laval is weak as it's just too much traffic to control.

Jalimon,

Because there is a lot of traffic between Montreal and Repentigny. I would even consider as a part of the GMA like Laval is.

Yes that is true. I was only reporting what happened 10 days or so ago.

Right now I can confirm they are no more barrage between repentigny and terrebonne.

Hey OT, if your daughter's home is in Montreal then there is a good argument you can do the round trip. The government is allowing Canadians from abroad to come back to the domicile. However, I am not a lawyer and things change every day so it would be best to ask someone of authority.
Good luck!

I have a (two-part) question.

That will be considered as not essential. The police officer will ask you to turn around and go back home. You will be log in the system. If you are catch again, then you will have a ticket. As soon as you are using the word "visit" you are doomed. The address on your permit is not the address of were you are heading, you are doomed.

Your main problem will be the neighbors. There is a high probability that you will get reported.

My advice? Travel when there is traffic. Do not park next to her apartment. Go in as fast and discretely as you can.

Put her a gag ball and keep things quiet.

Good luck.

You are not allowed, you are liable for tickets and if it is between region, adding to the ticket, you would have to confined yourself (real confinement) for 14 days... when you get back home ... people think that they can go outside. The answer is no, except for..... but not to go to see your girlfriend
