We often hear about the importance of "chasing your dreams" and then we hear success stories of people who "accomplished their dreams", but why do we almost never hear about the actual majority who fail to accomplish their dreams?

It's tempting to be cynical but I think it's better to be realistic and compassionate.

I will admit that this is new knowledge to me, but the Ancient philosophy of Cynicism is worth consideration:

Finding purpose in life, having meaningful interpersonal relationships and having a spiritual life. I don't know what small percentage of people can achieve this, but that's the goal.
