We often hear about the importance of "chasing your dreams" and then we hear success stories of people who "accomplished their dreams", but why do we almost never hear about the actual majority who fail to accomplish their dreams?
Why do you want to know about people's failures? We often hear about the importance of "chasing your dreams" and then we hear success stories of people who "accomplished their dreams", but why do we almost never hear about the actual majority who fail to accomplish their dreams?
Yuck, the typical LBH as well ...Nothing disgusts me more than men bragging they go to poorer countries to have sex with barely legal women. Congrats dude you’re a predator
This. Why do you want to know about people's failures?
Misplaced anger. There's actually far more scrutiny of age and avoidance of minors generally among people traveling abroad than there are here. Mongers are very, very aware of the dangers of ignorance and are generally very scrupulous about verifying age and of staying away from girls of questionable age. On foreign boards there are even regular posts about IDs and how to spot fake ones. To say that mongers who travel are aware of the consequences of 3rd world judicial systems and prisons is a massive understatement. That's especially true for pedophiles, who face extremely dire consequences in foreign prisons. This may be straying a bit from the point of what you were saying, as you were focused on the bragging part and the "barely legal" part (which to me means guys who really want kids but are afraid and keep it "legal" age-wise) , but there was an undercurrent of child predation there to my mind, and most foreign mongers are very sensitive to it, hence the comment.Nothing disgusts me more than men bragging they go to poorer countries to have sex with barely legal women. Congrats dude you’re a predator
Why would that make me happy?? I'm insulted.Agreed.
If it makes you happy @AnthonyAnderson somebody just threatened to beat me up and "find my mom and rape her" and accused me of having a dick.
I hope you have a nice day.
I was being sarcastic and I'm sorry. Why would that make me happy?? I'm insulted.
I am more of a cynic, indeed.I also don't understand focusing all the time on things that annoy us that are really not really that big of a deal. It's easy to judge but not work on ourselves
It's tempting to be cynical but I think it's better to be realistic and compassionate.I am more of a cynic, indeed.
Not feeling like a corn star? It’s been 2 times so far we caught sessions on tape.
Each time, I feel like a teen with his GF of the moment jumping over a fence and having a midnight bath in a public pool.
As I am an old fart, corn star sounds to me more like a “champion mangeux de blé d’inde”Not feeling like a corn star?
It depends on what you consider as a success….We often hear about the importance of "chasing your dreams" and then we hear success stories of people who "accomplished their dreams", but why do we almost never hear about the actual majority who fail to accomplish their dreams?
I will admit that this is new knowledge to me, but the Ancient philosophy of Cynicism is worth consideration:It's tempting to be cynical but I think it's better to be realistic and compassionate.
According to Cynicism, people are reasoning animals, and the purpose of life and the way to gain happiness is to achieve virtue, in agreement with nature, following one's natural sense of reason by living simply and shamelessly free from social constraints. The Cynics (Ancient Greek: Κυνικοί, Latin: Cynici) rejected all conventional desires for wealth, power, pleasure, glory, social recognition, conformity, and worldly possessions and even flouted such conventions openly and derisively in public.
Having a Rolex and driving a Lambo on Crescent during the GrandPrix. #joke #ironyIt depends on what you consider as a success….
Finding purpose in life, having meaningful interpersonal relationships and having a spiritual life. I don't know what small percentage of people can achieve this, but that's the goal.It depends on what you consider as a success….
You won't achieve it if you keep finding little things to criticize about people you don't even know, if you don't consider what kindness and justice really are and if you don't go out in the world (physical, metaphysical and metaphorical) and explore things you aren't comfortable with or unacquainted with.Finding purpose in life, having meaningful interpersonal relationships and having a spiritual life. I don't know what small percentage of people can achieve this, but that's the goal.
The visual reminds me of the music video for "Innocent" by Our Lady Peace, thanks for that. It’s been 2 times so far we caught sessions on tape.
