Over the years I had many bookings from traveling gentlemen who found me via social media because someone local to them interacted with me for example.
Same! That's also why we use social media so much.

Lots of clients don't follow out of discretion concerns (following lists are public)

You would think clients would be smart enough to use a fictitious account name not their real one like on Merb.

Yeah I get that a local SP they know interacting with you can lead to a booking if they are visiting MTL that makes sense.

I’m always shocked when I see a notification from Pierre Jean-Jacques with a profile picture of his wife and himself replying to my photos with: I want to cum inside you

Sir??? What happened to discretion?

I am confused.
Is that kind of equivalent to John Smith in French?
The only real Pierre-Jean Jacques I know and heard of was a Haitian footballer and manager who played for the Haitian national team.

I've never understood that either. It just seems both sloppy and stupid from the client side.

I assume that people are aware that they're frying their brains (particularly the reward circuit) by watching excessive amounts of TikTok/Instagram reels (?)

Yes but oh well, you shouldn’t have sex with so many strangers, should go out without sunscreen, shouldn’t spend so much time on forums but here I am

I won’t wake up at 80 and think, I’m so happy I didn’t watch TikTok vids when I was younger now let’s go knit some blankets with Roberta

Watching lots of TikTok is essentially like flushing your brain down the toilet. Still, people are the masters of their own time and can choose to do what they please. TikTok isn't the only time waster out there. It's entirely about measuring the opportunity cost of what you do.

Is spending time on Merb more productive or more interesting lol.
Luckily when you are retired and when most everyone you know is either working or in school then you have plenty of time.

yes, in the sense that you are actually interacting with people and not doomscrolling. Not more productive but less damaging. Also, people spend less time on MERB than they do on social media typically (there may be an exception or two. lol). For lurkers you run out of content too quickly to go too far down the rabbit hole.

I am the odd one then as I spend less than 5:minutes a day on social media other than Merb.
I do watch a lot of different sports from all over the world though.
