No matter how often a client brags about not paying for dinner dates and social time, other clients will. (my random thought of the evening) :)
Why do you think it is bragging?
I don’t do it because it is something that is against what I believe in and it has nothing to do with money.
I don’t mind paying for dinner and I don’t care which restaurant or how much it costs, I do care about paying for the time to eat it that just doesn’t sit well with me.
Call it ego call it whatever you want it doesn’t matter to me, I don’t care what people think, we all have different boundaries and different things that are important to us.
If other people do it and enjoy it, great, money is meant to be spent on something that makes you happy.

I cannot tolerate or have empathy for people that are always self deprecating. It’s annoying and unattractive. Have some kind of confidence or fake it, idk

It's okay if it's against what you believe, I just don't see the point in shaming other clients for doing it. I've seen someone call such clients "simps". It's okay if you don't want to pay for dinner dates, nobody has to. I'm just saying insulting other members of the community for doing so won't prevent it from happening.

I want to take a step back from this part of the forum for a while. It's been really nice exchanging and having a lot of fun and productive discussions, and a lot of laughter. :) Happy new year.

Blocking, deleting and ignoring people can be a good thing for your mental health
agreed, especially on social media, it was affecting my moods at some point. So i'm out of Facebook and only use Twitter for specific uses and rarely interact with people there but you probably don't have that lucury since you probably use it as a marketing tool

Yes it can. Or it can be perceived as childish behaviour when you don’t get your way you throw a tantrum.

I find it more mature to ignore than to insult. Everyone’s different so if to your it comes across as childish that’s fair

I didn't have a twitter before being an SP. It's wacckkkky on there, I'm definitely working on figuring out how to have healthy boundaries with it.

In the Holy Scriptures we say: your neighbor's wife you do not covet.... dabs my book an SP doesn't belong to anyone even if she claims to have a boyfriend ;)

Um.... I'm not sure I understand the point you're trying to make. Providers sometimes have partners. It's not that surprising. We are people with lives outside of this work!

I'm confused about trudope decision that he took yesterday....I hate talking politics with anyone since so many get offended about what you say.
He mentioned that he "intends to resign" only after a new leader is appointed for the job as a "leader". Well in politics when you do this it means that house of common will be status quo until there is an election in the fall if they can drag it to then.
I just need to vent that's all.

The point is if you're single and You don't owe anyone anything stop feeling guilty even if a lot of SP as 666 in their name and having devil's horns on their pictures, you're forgiven you haven't disobeyed to the commandment

Same here. I would never pay for dinner or social time . The one thing that makes Montreal special in my experience vs other cities is many SPs are game to go out with you. I met many that are just looking to have a good time. I haven't experienced that in other cities.

On the flip side of "you won't pay but many other clients will" is "you want $ for social time, there are other SPs who don't"
