Going into an office building or shopping center where there's two sets of doors. If someone holds open both doors for you are you only supposed to say thanks once on the first door or do you say thanks twice?

OK, so follow up question. If it's twice are you supposed to be annoyed if someone only says thanks once? Are they rude and deserving of your contempt for poor etiquette?
Nope. Gratitude isn't required, just nice, so the lack thereof isn't rude. Grabbing the door and closing it behind you purposefully would be deserving of contempt.

A-ha! Kindness is its own reward! I may have to re-evaluate how I perceive and interact with my fellow humans. :)

Never be nice with the expectation of a thank you and never assume what you're doing is nice in the first place.

I had a guy get angry at me for not thanking him for holding the door open. He was 20 feet ahead of me, so that made me have to speed up so that he could "be nice" to me. I actually did thank him, but I had headphones on and it was downtown Montreal. I must not have said it loud enough, because he didn't hear me. He got in my face and said "You could at least say thanks!". I left with the impression that his life must be absolute shit if he's getting angry at this.

Well, if you have to ask someone to say thanks to you (who isn't a 6 year old) then you're clearly swimming in the wrong pond anyway. Random people shouldn't demand gratitude. totally agree with you.

Corollary question. At what point/distance/speed is it rude to not hold the elevator door for someone coming your way?

If they call out to hold the elevator, any distance will do. If not, and you don't visibly see/hear them ask, they're gonna need to be in front of the elevator to have it held.

Hmmm. Don't think I can go with that one. The definition's not inclusive enough. If you see people on crutches or in wheelchairs for example you shouldn't have to be told to hold it for them. Also, how much extra space do cute girls get? I mean, if we'r being honest don't we stretch the wait zone a little further for the hot chick than we do for the accountant with the lemony face? I'm not saying it's fair, but... :)

Yes yes, but visible is the definition. If I see them coming clearly for the elevator, I'm holding it. If I don't see them and they don't ask for it to be held, it's not going to be. That's why I said 'in front of the elevator.' You shouldn't hold the door without a reason, just in case the cute girl you saw in the lobby is potentially also going up, bc that would be disrespectful to the people already in the elevator.

My friend thinks it must be rare to have good sex with clients. I told him it’s not rare at all and a few have been able to witness crazy orgasms

So that made me think that maybe the general population thinks we’re not having fun ever

The perception I had before seeing a companion was that it would all feel transactional and fake, like I could see the artifice in it, esp with orgasms. While that can happen, I was/am pleasantly surprised at how many women really do get into it, enjoy it, and legitimately have fun. If I couldn't make any sp cum, I would've stopped seeing any within the first 2 or 3, probably, as it's such a rewarding part of it for me.

yeah, it's almost funny that I've had to explain to too many people that "sex feels good"

I so agrée with you. Having sex with an SP in a GFE context is exactly that having an intimate exchange that brings pleasure and joy to both partners. To me that is what sex is all about, with an SP or otherwise. I so much enjoy seeing my partner having multiple Orgasm it really gets me excited. In fact I generally try to bring my partner to orgasm before me, which leads to others…. I could not repeat with an SP that would not be genuinely into the moment with me.

It just occurred to me that I've gone to more concerts this year than the last 10 years combined. I used to live for live music all through highschool and uni but got lost in the sauce with work and other commitments and didn't realize how much I need it. Can't mosh anymore tho, I don't want to be that guy...
