See this only in Quebec, couples sitting side by side in restaurants or pubs instead of across from each other. I always wonder why they do that.

Psychologically
  • Sitting side by side = cooperation
  • Sitting across from each other = confrontation

I just find it a pain in the neck to turn my head in a conversation, there should be no cooperation - confrontation issues when you go out with someone. I don't or have not noticed this outside of Quebec.

I've seen this elsewhere (in Ontario and the USA).

I enjoy the closeness and ability to touch the other person. Usually on first or second dates, or when the couple is full of passion (in my case anyways).

Because I want to grab his dick under the table
Lol.. that has been my reason in the past. What can happen under the table unknown to those around.

Or just because my partner is my security blanket, and when I am feeling uncomfortable or occuart due to being in a public setting, I feel like I can hide behind him... as I type it out it sounds rediculous. But being able to touch his arm or leg, and feel him that close gives me strength to be social. Face to face l feel shy and like I'm on a witness stand.

The best is either at the bar/counter, or "side by side" on a table for 4. That way, you are close but don't have to turn your head to talk, the other being in your visual field. But also, if sitting side by side, you don't sit straight looking at the wall in front of you! You sit diagonally, it's more intimate.

If i beat my meat everyday, the nut busting doesn't come out as good, and i figured why, its like shooting a gun without fully reloading it.

Yep, that’s why you shouldn’t masturbate before you meet an SP

If it is a supply and demand issue.. question is if you then beat your meat 2 times a day, does it increase production so when you reduce it to once a day it starts happening like if you missed a day???

It would appear that things are quieting down in the industry. I have heard that from 2 providers and a massage parlour mamasan recently.

Is that possible and why?

It's summer and festival season.

I was in the Quartier des Spectacles the other day....and a lot of outdoor terraces were closed or half full. This was on a holiday, beautiful weather and right around dinner time. There is a Baton Rouge restaurant on de la Montagne street....next door to the Bell Centre. Its been closed since at least two years now.......don't forget it's next door to a major entertainment venue that holds 15,000 people, and still it closed. Disposable income has become survival income.....paying your bills and eating has become more important than getting your rocks off.....just my two cents.....

Indeed. Things have changed in the economy drastically. Like yourself, I wandered through the gay village in the east end downtown last week and was horrified at what I saw economically, boarded-up storefronts, for two blocks on end, right around Place Dupuis, metro Berri.

This is an area that once had a vibrant lifestyle and many businesses. There were severe social issues with crime, drugs and homelessness as well.

That's why I moved up north. and I don't miss anything.
I did go to a lot of festivals in my younger years too so been there done that.
In fact there are some events around here with less crowd.

I would sure not be happy being a young person without a house right now, the economy has tanked and will get worse before better. Many mortgages are coming up and the extra costs will cause defaults. Happy to be retired and mortgage free.
