I had tried pot many times over an early but brief span of time. IT SUCKED!
I felt the same way about blow until the day i was administered it in a medical setting for oral surgery. I finally discovered what the fuss was all about....but already having been sedated might have added to the effects.
When i first started smoking pot, i didn't like it since it used to put me to sleep. Of course, i was smoking it when i was partying, so it wasn't exactly the proper 'recreactional' drug for this at the time.
Personally, i rarely use recreational drugs anymore. I live a much healthier lifestyle than i did up to 5 years ago. However, if people around me want to toke up or snort once in a while in a social setting, it's none of my business & it's their choice. I actually believe that many prescribed medications are much more harmful. Same thing with alcohol or cigarettes. Probably the most harmful drugs on the planet, yet they're legal. Caffeine is another thing. I know people that have over 10 coffees a day. Then they complain they have trouble sleeping. But i don't have a problem with someone having 1-2 cups of coffee a day and i was told that there are actually health benefits with caffeine. Same thing with wine. A glass of wine (or two) a day has health benefits. It's good for the heart. But a bottle of wine a day doesn't do anyone any good.
