The LE seem to be doing a good job whittling down the criminal elements in society the last 10 years.

Bad Blood is one of the best Canadian made TV shows . Not surprised that Netflix picked it up but surprised that a US network has not.

Netflix probably paid a lot for it, they have been throwing around a lot of money at shows they think will do well. They made a sick offer for the movie Crazy Rich Asians but the makers of the film declined and released it with another US film distributor and they made $238 million off it.

I watched the opening episode of Bad Blood last night and I can already see a lot of plot elements that are similar to Sons of Anarchy- the alliances between the different gangs and factions within organized crime, and how those alliances fall apart, which is already foreshadowed once Vito goes to prison.

Ironically, Kim Coates, who played "Tig", who was second in command in Sons of Anarchy, is "Declan", second in command to Rizzuto in Bad Blood. The only real difference is that his character in Bad Blood is Irish and a tad more clean shaven.

Didn’t think much of this series. I liked the on location scenes and being familiar with most of the locations. The actor playing Vito was average at best, big Paully was terrible and Tig’s lack of acting skills really showed. Maybe my expectations were to high for this one, but the series really fell short IMHO.

Season 1 was decent for a Canadian production. Performances were decent but nothing spectacular. Season 2 is absolutely horrible. Had to stop watching it 30 minutes into the 1st episode. Horrible acting, horrible script. The scenes did not feel natural and very scripted. The last chapter & 19-2 are great Canadian TV shows.

Bad Blood is amazing

its fairly accurate. all the events are true.

You're right that he's made up but he represents all the right hand men Rizzuto's had through the years so technically, he's not made up.

The Last Chapter is an amazing series, the scripts are realistic, it looks like it was written by the Hells themselves from a Canadian perspective, a much, much better show than Sons of Anarchy which I don't like at all.

On another note, a Hells Angels wedding that took place last month at a downtown Montreal Hotel that recently made the news, take a look at the bridesmaides coming out of the stretch Limo, hot chick after hot chick.

I don't understand why we are glorifying these low life gangsters ? They prey on tax paying, hardworking citizens and they are revered as gods. They are criminals, gangsters who don't give a shit about you or your well being. I wish the reference to them and their exploits would end as far as this board is concerned.

I am with you Doggy... But the thing is gangsters and mafia makes up for good stories that people like to watch and read.

But you know the same could be said of many syndicate (worker's union). For example when the union of construction worker decide to go on strike they send their thugs to all construction sites to make sure workers respect the strikes... For me this is real life mafia that impacts our lives more then what these criminals gangsters do...

How much more do we pay for concrete or waste control etc. where prices are artificially high due to the syndicate? The costs of these gangsters are passed on to the common man. And everyone wants to say something nice about John Gotti because they are scared to say otherwise. Am I the only one here old enough to remember Monty Python and the Flying Circus? Remember the Piranha Brothers? They were the organized crime family lampooned by Monty Python? Start watching at the 5 minute mark. This is why people say good things about the Mafia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZkWL-XvO0U

Thanks for posting this, Joe.t.

I know that area fairly well & i don't believe they were going to a hotel. It's more like a restaurant since there is no longer an actual 'hotel' in that building. The location is barely a block away from the Sheraton. It's where the old & famous Windsor Hotel used to be located before it closed down decades ago. It used to be one of Canada's top hotels & the actual site where meetings to create the NHL occurred. Sadly half the building was lost due to a fire near the midpoint of the past century & it was never the same again. Today the CIBC building stands on that part of the lot & is adjoined to what remains of the Windsor Hotel building.

You are correct in pointing out all the babes coming out of the limos. It reminded me of a time several years ago when i attended a concert at the Bell Centre & lucky me i just happened to be seated right next to a group of bikers. The younger women in that group were drop-dead gorgeous. It was a very memorable evening, to say the least. Long story.

Yes, I did like the video Joe T. Those bridesmaids would have made a great GoodGirls party.

I like the sign on the car saying Going To Get Married Again. I guess the Hell's Angels are Anglo? I also like the way the bride ran up the stairs. Was she afraid she would turn into a pumpkin?

Your welcome, I would have loved to attend that wedding just for the atmosphere, it was attended by bikers, mafioso gangsters and babes, it must have been quite the scene!!

This may be a bit off topic but i enjoyed watching the show Bad Blood on Netflix. As a fictional work it was good. Its just a bit disapointing that its REALLY FAR from reality. In the show its like Vito had only one kid and the character of Declan never existed, while most of the show is based around him. It also make the "Devil's King" (pretty much the show's version of the H.A) a bunch of low grade criminals. Really far from the big role they had in real life.

The two guns and five grams of cocaine were found inside the Rizzuto home is small potatoes. The bigger cases on him take priority.

If they can not use the conversations secretly recorded at his lawyers office then they can not use evidence seized at his home because Rizzuto's arrest at his home was based on the illegally obtained recordings.

The hit at the Sheraton Hotel in Laval seems to be a hit sanctioned from high up. It seems that they care not of the consequences by doing a hit in public and in front of family.

Heard on TV that allegedly Scoppa was responsible for the murder of Rocco Sollecito, so it was payback (seen on Denis Levesques)

It’s not often that you hear of such bold mafia assassinations being carried out literally in the open. Without a doubt it must have been sanctioned from the top considering the amount of heat and attention it would attract from LE ( especially when putting bystanders at risk). I guess the victim mistakenly thought that he was more or less safe in a public gathering and thus probably dropped he’s guard . I’m speculating that he was a very hard target therefore forcing he’s enemies to resort to these tactics.
