First remain calm as the risk of HIV is low in a situation like that. Call 811 and they will direct you to the appropriate ressource. You can also directly visit an emergency room but be prepared to wait.

First, the risk that the person you had sex with has HIV and that it is transmissible (I.e. untreated) is low. Then, it's fair to say that the condom probably broke towards the end (less contact time raw). Also, female to male transmission is more difficult than the reverse. Still, it is indeed important to take PeP (post-exposure prophylaxis) as you indeed had unprotected intercourse (even if briefly) with an anonymous partner. I'm sure this is available in Québec City. . Let's see what 811 tells you. Basically the pill has to be taken within 72 hours of the event so if you don't get a satisfactory answer, head to an emergency room.

1) https://prelib.com/ or https://cliniquelactuel.com/

2) HIV transmission is actually very difficult to get. Gonorrhea and chlamydia are easier but easily treatable. Syphillis is on the rise and is more problematic but also treatable. So no need to panic.

You are at low risk so just go get tested. Speak to a health care professional and refrain from activities for a while and again....Low risk .Which doesnt mean no risk...There is a rise in infection in Quebec due to people thinking they can now treat HIV and taking less precautions. But it is still a hard disease to get.

Hi
First of all thanks to the previous answers that helps a lot.
Secondly how can people think that HIV is treatable since it’s note.

For me, I got a teste in the next 2 weeks and got ppe.
I called the 811 but they redirected me to ER I didn’t want to so I went to Clinique actuel, people are not trained enough but they don’t give you hard time; so guys don’t be ashamed juste get help, they will juste helps you.
You can seek help with :
Clinique médicale Actuel or Quorom in Montreal the downside is I hope you have good insurance otherwise you’re gonna pay but no money can buy you health so just ask for help in internet and pay the bills bc its worth it.

l’an here to answer any questions for ppl who needs help.

Thank again.
