Vladimir Putin is expected to sign agreements Friday that will formally absorb into Russia thousands of square miles of Ukrainian territory in what will be the largest forcible annexation of land in Europe since 1945. Follow here for live updates.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that his country is applying “under an accelerated procedure” to become a member of NATO.
He signed Ukraine’s application together with Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk and Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.
“It is here, in Ukraine, that the values of our Euro-Atlantic community have obtained real vital energy,” Zelensky said in a pre-recorded video message. “The strength of the nation that fights for freedom, and the strength of the nations that help in this fight.”
He said that “de facto,” Ukraine had already “completed our path” to NATO.

Yesterday was the heaviest Russian missile strike over Ukraine in shear numbers since the beginning of the invasion. Close to 100 of those were launched.
It seems that one or two Ukrainian S-300 got lost over Poland trying to intercept Russian's hardware...
Come on guys, Zelensky wants to drag all the Nato countries into his war. He said the missiles are made in Russia but in fact they are fired from Ukraine intentionally. To cover this up, not to accuse Zelensky, the USA says it's a defence system S-300 .
Is it possible that NATO will hide the thruth with the goal to avoid a direct war with Russia ?
