For the newer stuff (like artillery shells or the Abrams tanks), well guess what - the US is paying US citizens to make them, it's not a blank check to Ukraine.

Ukraine is a pocket change in comparison with several trillion dollars spent in Iraq and Afghanistan. The level of corruption was also over the scale in these countries. Guess whom US military was preparing to fight for over 70 years? Ukraine is basically fighting the US war. The military brass understands this, but due to Russian nuclear blackmail and partisan politics the level of material support is totally insufficient, the war is drugging on and Ukraine is paying the price.
