From a practical standpoint, giving military aid to Ukraine is a fantastic deal for the US & EU.

No need to use US or EU troops since the Ukrainians are doing all the heavy lifting and Russia’s military is weakening rapidly by the day. Another year of this and Russia’s military will be crippled for decades resulting in a much safer world.

Of course, Trump and many Republicans are against giving military aid to Ukraine. After all, they can’t possibly say no to their master, Putin.

Yes, you are totally right: we can choose to reduce pollution, the same way if Ukraine choose not to joint NATO it wont be war !
Let's stop talking about war! I am sick of it !
Let's Make Love, no War !
What is the use of empty slogans? Can you maintain an erection with a gun to your head? Or may be smell of the human blood is an aphrodisiac to you? Ukrainians did not choose this war, the war was forced on them.

Listen carefully, my understanding is that Zelensky was refering to people and infrastructures in Ukraine, not in the US.

Guess what? 85% of the money given to Ukraine never left the shores of the United States of America. They were given to American manufacturers to replace the older equipment and ammunition sent to Ukraine which needs to be utilized in 10-15 years anyway. These money revived some medium tech military manufacturing in the US that has been dying for the past 40 years and supported numerous well-paid American jobs. What is the use of having 4000 tanks in storage in Arizona desert? They were built to fight Russians, so lets them do it.

Germany may declare emergency if situation in Ukraine 'worsens ... - RT

"The chancellor has called on parliament to bypass the national debt threshold for the sake of helping Kiev"

Apart from RT news above this below updated Wiki is an interesting summary.
I am actually shocked this shopping list is public.

List of military aid to Ukraine during the Russo-Ukrainian WarWikipediahttps://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › List_of_military_aid

Check out Canada!?? Wtf taxpayers buy weapons then send the weapons out of the country????
Incredible detailed list. Mindboggling.
MinutemenX will like this list hehe
Apart from 31 M1A1 tanks USA sending 45 upgraded T72 Russian tanks to fight the Russians?
I can't imagine Russian patriots building these for mother Russia then decades later the machines are used against Russia.

Edit: take note 620 million from Canada to the "Government of Ukraine" apart from the military "gifts" and loans.
Today in Canada the largest public sector strike in Canadian History??...Almost half a million workers on strike in Quebec/www.cbc.ca
What a disconnect.

We should be very thankful to Ukraine that until now we got away with equipment and the modest amount of money without spilling our own blood. If Ukraine had capitulated in 2 weeks as predicted, we would be shipping troops to Europe by now. It is a humongous war with at least 300 thousand dead from both sides, 3000+ tanks from the Russian side. Ukraine has lost about 400 western made tanks just last summer. It is mostly drone warfare by now and Ukraine looses from 5 to 10 thousand drones every month. Both sides started using drones with AI capability that can go on free hunt day and night without direct communication link. The weapons that were state of the art just a decade ago are becoming obsolete. This is another reason why we must look at shipments of these mostly outdated weapons with a grain of salt.

The story so far...

1) Russia has no air superiority over Ukraine
2) Russia's Black Sea Fleet has scurried away from Crimea, since they cannot stop attacks from Ukraine, a country with no navy.
3) The US estimates that Russia has lost about 90% of its prewar forces. Russia is now refurbishing 60 year old tanks for use in Ukraine - tanks that were declared obsolete in 1975. Their forces are so fully committed to the front that Wagner, a rebel faction, got halfway to Moscow unopposed.
4) Russian weapons have proven to be Potemkin frauds - from the vaunted Kinzhal missles to the "terminator" fighting vehicle. Relics from the Western inventory - some of them more than 30 years old like the Patriot system, Stinger missile and Gepard tanks - have shown to be more than capable of handling the latest Russian equipment.

But on the other hand, Russia's extensive defences have held back Ukrainian progress. Gains or losses are meager.

“Russia is Never as Strong as She Appears, or Weak as She Seems” Otto von Bismarck.

Still true today. Russia as a military power is much more potent adversary than China that has no experience in the modern warfare.

Comically inept though.

How does the "#2 military" in the world, run out of fuel for a 40 mile long convoy, barely 700 miles from its own capital???

And Russia is an oil producing country, no less.

For comparison, 80 years ago, the Americans had a whole ship dedicated to making ice cream for the Marines in the Pacific.

Russian landing ship was sunk last night.

Russian news say that it was damaged in the attack...LOL. That's like saying the Titanic just needs a paint job.

So far, 20% of Russia's Black Sea fleet has been destroyed.

Today Russia launched a major air attack on many Ukraine cities hitting indiscriminately civil targets.
Schools, hospitals, housing buildings.
Great Britain are providing defense means against air attacks.
Meanwhile House Republicans turn their backs on Ukraine help.

I am as far from being a supporter of Russia as you can possibly get, but that doesn’t mean I will support a weak bumbling senile old fool like Bidet.
I have lived in refugee camps thanks to mother Russia, so no you do not know me at all.
Had you bothered to read post #2 you could have already known that.
Ukraine tyranny pretty bad.
"The Ukraine State Border Guard Service has announced that men ages 18 to 60 were prohibited from leaving the country"
This was news a year ago.

CNN

Even last week same news.

Ukrainian men finding it harder to leave country – RT

Same as Russia. The difference beeing that one is the agressor and the other the agressed.
What is the death count on both parts ?
Your Russia source (RT) probably tell that ten Ukrainians die for each Russians !
If it wasn't of Putin craziness, would there be conscription in Ukraine ?
