In my head
Sorry to add another negative feedback but that is how I feel...
"Retro" is putting it nicely. Ancient, is the more appropriate adjective. The 2007 copyright notice is funny in itself...
Overall, this design does not project a classy image for SD.
Move the "On today" down to the main menu, where it will be seen.
Remove the sparkles and tone down the banner. Heck, change the entire color scheme...
Make the "Reviews" links work...

Historical Analysis

Satin Dreamz has an approximate 8.5 year history under that name, and during that time it has NEVER had a website that was above average. So I am puzzled by the comments in this thread. You are comparing the current website to what? Its predecessors at SD or its modern competitors?

In my view, SD has always been one of the more successful agencies in Montreal despite not having a very good website, so their business model is built on something other than Internet marketing. Therefore, the comments in this thread puzzle me a bit.

Both. Not only is the new website unpleasant to the the in comparison to those of other agencies, it's pretty awful in comparison to it's own.

Um, perhaps you should read the opening comment by SD themselves. They asked for comments.

The frame work of the web site will stay the way it is, I'm sorry you feel the way you do but we've had many comments praising the new direction the agency has taken
Perhaps, Julie, you could get even one of these people to weigh in here.

As posted in another thread, I am not a fan of the new sites either. Actually, when I compared them to the previous MSC-SD sites, these are worse, for all of the above mentionned reasons. Bad labeling, unpleasant color choice, worse picture definition... Hey, some people are fan of certain colours on their house walls... but if it's a store you're walking in it can attract or repell the occasional customers.
It does not change that MSC-SD has had for all the years I've known/ used them a very good business model, and many excellen girls with lots of repeats on my part. But if the site irritates me and is more complex to navigate, it may change my surfing --and hence consumption-- habits.

Hi Peter,

I'm sorry to say that the overall design of the site is... cheesy. If I were looking at your site for the first time, and did not know that you are running one of the best agency in town, I might run the other way... My first impression is that it makes you look like a fly-by-night operation. In my opinion, your girls and you deserve a much classier looking website.

Um, perhaps you should read the opening comment by SD themselves. They asked for comments.

My puzzlement stemmed not from the FACT of the comments, but whether the comments related to a comparison to SD's predecessor websites (which never impressed me and were never the strength of the agency) or, alternatively, its modern competitors like Devilish or Girls On Fire that have a sleeker, modernized look.

Everyone seemed to be acting like SD invented the cheesy website when the fact of the matter is that they have had an above average agency with a below average website for years, a historical trend that not a single poster in this thread, not even you who intimately knows their history, ever mentioned. On this issue the historical perspective is paramount. I approach these issues from a completely historical perspective, knowing the agency's past record on website design and past record on customer service and quality control.

Obviously the consensus is that the current website is cheesy but none of the predecessor websites were very impressive either, in relation to their contemporaries through the years. I do not believe Peter or his various minions ever had any strength in the area of web design, and to all of a sudden act as though Peter is somehow disappointing his customers with the new website is, in my view, to ignore the long history of this agency and others Peter has operated through the years, which simply were never viewed as beacons or revolutionaries in the venue of escort agency website design.

All of the agencies, like baseball teams, have their strengths and weaknesses. Web design was NEVER an area in which this agency excelled.

I posted about it and agree about the new site with most you the posts.

One thing is sure, SD is getting so much "advertising" with this new site. Congratulations Peter.

All posts or most of them have one similar point: It's a really good agency and forget about the website. Acutally, I kind of agree with this since Peter (and Jessy) served me perfectly over the years. So we (including myself) have been telling everyone that it's a good agency without Peter asking any of us.

Keep on serving us the same way Peter and we will forget about the website.

Actually, Beav, the historical perspective is meaningless. Every bit as meaningless, in fact, as your fascination with your self-proclaimed "golden age" of hobbying. They asked simply for reactions to their new website. No one other than you, least of all Peter and Julie, cares about "historical perspective."

Thank you all !!

I want to thank you all so so much for for taking the time to reply with your help and advice you have
shared with us in this thread and through the emails I've received.
*and keeping it clean and on topic ;)

There is many very good valid points and we'll make the decisions that are necessary but this will be done gradually,
web site building is long and tedious job so your patience is very much appreciated!

The review page link is not broken but has been removed in order to stay inline with MERB MOD's recommendation.
I have not investigated the legal accept nor do I have the time to do so but
it will be rebuilt in the near future, there is many other boards with reviews that can be posted so stay tuned!!

Meanwhile please remember that the bottom line to this is to enjoy our wonderful girls and services as you've done in the past.

Some have asked why "Official" web site well thats a very interesting topic for another day soon!

All suggestion and comments are welcomed and I'm NOT sorry I asked :)
Thank you again for sharing all of your ideas and comments.

Have Fun & Enjoy !

A bit too busy -- perhaps tone it down. I'm not too crazy about the color scheme. I know your agency from the past so I have a good opinion of your agency already. But for someone who does not your agency and comes upon your website for the first time, he/she might think they were visiting a website for a used care dealership. The main page looks cheezy, especially with an image of a cartoon; put up part parts of a real model. Too many thinkgs blinking. Thank you for stating whether the girles are smokers, social smokers, etc. You may want to get a different photograher; I imagine the ladies are much prettier in person.

In my head
one suggestion: make the email links more visible...
also, at a couple places, you say "email us" but do not provide a visual email address and the "email us" does not link to an email address.

This is an example of the old saying, "if at first you do not succeed, try, try again." It's impressive that the agency listens to their customers.

KEEP THE COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS COMING WE'RE LISTENING :D

>>> Comment by Mod 11: Julie, you are pushing very hard to earn Satin dreamz' first suspension. What did I say about posts that look like publicity? The opening post of your SECOND USELESS thread was edited to remove advertising and eye-catching colors fonts and the thread was merged to the previous thread (this one). If you try that stunt again, you're gone for one week. Thanks. <<<

I don't much care what websites look like, but even so, this is the best looking SDz site by far. What is important for me is that a site be accurate and that the information is really, really up-to-date. I prefer low bandwidth to meaningless glitz.

My only real concern is why my McAfee security software always cautions me that this site shows suspicious behavior.
Why is that? (Personally I have not had any problems.)

In any case, Peter, carry on with your great service and delightful roster of escorts like Jezabelle!

I like the newer site better too! A lot of the useless flash is gone, the colors are improved too, the pics have a better resolution. I would still make the gallery pics smaller so all the girls could fit on a reduced screen space. Bigger is not always equal to better--unless of course you cater mostly to elder half blind men...
