Well it seems like Schneider may be back in the line up tonight against the Bruins against all expectations! He practiced with the team this morning and intends to play tonight.
Unbelieavable!!! I guess he was told by the NY doctor that there was no danger of aggravating the injury if he was able to continue playing. That surgery could be postponed until the end of the season.
I've had a similar injury to his years ago & it's difficult for me to imagine how he'll be able to make a slapshot considering how bad his shoulder is. He likely won't be able to check anyone using that shoulder & getting checked on that shoulder will likely make him experience excruciating pain. This makes me question how effective he'll be & if the team wouldn't be better off playing someone else in his place.
By postponing the surgery until the end of the season, does it mean that he's considering retirement? By getting the surgery performed now, he likely would be ready for the start of the next season, if he elected to play another year.
