Hi everyone,

I've often been introduced to great music from providers (sex and music going hand in hand ?) ... I'm wondering if there are people on the board that are into house music.

I’m sort of a recent fan and still trying to get familiar with the terminology. I recently saw this yt clip from a movie called "We Are Your Friends". There's a scene called "128 bpm (How to rock a party) Scene" that really captures the party vibe.

I'm looking to discover more similar tracks or artists. If any of you are knowledgeable about house music, I’d love to hear your recommendations! What tracks do you think would fit the bill?

Thx

PS. Emily Ratajkowski is so hot.

house music comes from the 80's and basically comes from disco, it was a fairly underground scene back then (there is a political side to it but i'm not gonna get into this) and evolved into many subgenres and is recently considered something completely different from what it originally was, but i tend to like the more old school stuff. just like i'm a huge fan of old school techno and trance. that was dj luna's lesson for the evening, good night!

by the way, computers and synthesizers can be and are real instruments! :)
even video game consoles and kids musical toys can be turned into instruments by cool creative nerd musicians!

i don't know if i'd call fatboy slim house music but he's a great dj for sure!

I guess I tend to categorize any electronic music around that tempo as house music, even if it's not traditionally classified as such.

There’s something about that beat that gets to me, that tempo/bpm just hits me - can't stand still. It’s strange because, despite my love for music and EDM in general, I’ve never really felt compelled to seek out more of it. Now, it almost feels obsessive, like having a word on the tip of my tongue that I can’t spit out.

This is the real deal! People who have a good ear and play music not just dancing to it! Most people don't get jazz !

Can't it all be pleasing ?

I love jazz, classical, folk, rock, opera , country and also EDM. All composers have the amazing ability to translate feelings through notes.
Imho, to dislike music just means you're not wired to vibe it... its ok t'as l'doé. But I do - hence why its in the thread title.
