I think back on the infamous Craig's List killer who murdered an incall MP who was giving extra services at a hotel up in Boston. Everyone speculatively assumed it was a deranged client. In fact the murderer posed as a client but wasn't a client and didn't know the girl. His motive was to rob the girl at end of her shift. The robbery attempt went bad when she pulled a gun in self defense and then was shot in the ensuing melee. Although the dude was clearly fucked up, it didn't seem like he meant to kill her and was surprised by the girl packing a pistol. I actually at one time saw two different touring MPs from the same agency/group and I would have been surprised if they were packing at an incall in a reputable hotel. He clearly was taken by surprise by her resistance and her resistance cost her her life.

In this case anything is possible including "settling of accounts." Since it seems like they have video of the killer, he will likely be caught and maybe he will confess.

Increasingly murderers are being captured on video. A few weeks ago two late night hotel clerks were murdered in a new hotel in Longboat Key, Florida, where there had not been a murder in 20 years. They had video of the suspected killer in the hotel lobby. I think they caught him pretty soon thereafter. If the videotaping hasn't been disabled then it's likely not premeditated, unless premeditated by a moron.

I think some may be conflating motive with justification. While the motive for the murder may be hate/intolerance or perceived deception, neither justify assault, much less murder. The idea that some might condone any form of violence towards anyone else for any reason other than self-defense, is deplorable.

The insensitivity and lack of enlightenment shown by some in this thread is also saddening.

It's kinda sad that the death of a person has been spun into a justification of why the person was killed, without facts no less. As if it'd be OK if it turned out the suspect killed her precisely because he found out she is trans. As the lady said in Bad Boys, "[some of] y'all motherfuckers need Jesus!"

And if they don't aquiesce? If they fight back, maybe they are far stronger and tougher than you expected.

Force escalation, someone is badly hurt.

Or killed.

See how this happens so quickly and easily. Someone get pushed, they fall, they hit their head, they die.

Advocating violence against sex workers is kind of surprising.

Sex Worker Safetey

This has been running across my mind ever so much recently, with the ever increasing publicized incidents of violence and crime against Sex Workers AND what never gets reported and we don't hear about.

Sex Workers are people. They are sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, wives, husbands, etc, etc.

Where I think this starts is a complete lack of respect for them because of what they are doing, which is wrong, at the end of the day Sex Work is real work. Sex Workers deserve the right a safe work space and all the benefits that everyone else has.

The way I view it is that if someone you loved or cared for chose Sex Work, wouldn't you want them to not only FEEL safe but be safe as well?

For that 1/2 hour, hour, or whatever amount of time we have with them it is not just about our pleasure at the end of the session, but about all parties feeling safe and secure and being able to connect in a meaningful way during the brief moment together.

Some people will laugh or ridicule that thought, but the moment we start down that path of denigrating Sex Workers and treating them more as commodity than a physical person we are part of the problem, because then the people that view this will be more emboldened to treat them with less than the respect they are due.

You hear stories about people, mostly women, that fear walking to or from modes of public transportation because of people, mostly men, following or stalking them. You hear stories about them walking up to total strangers that look safe and as them to pretend to be their friend or partner just to be safe. I wish that this wasn't a reality but it is, I wish there was something akin to bat signal for for Women and Sex Workers.

It would be nice if there was an application where volunteers could be screened by the police, like anyone volunteering in sports or with kids organizations typically have to do, and you press a button and it sends a ping to all nearby volunteers much like hailing an Uber.
