Man killed during argument at bar

A man in his early 40s was shot to death during an argument outside a bar in Longueuil's LeMoyne borough early Friday morning.
The victim was shot multiple times by another man believed to be in his 40s who fled on foot.
Shortly after the shooting, which occurred outside the Motel Oscar on Taschereau Blvd, Longueuil police intercepted a taxi that was rapidly driving from the scene. The customer in the taxi was taken to the police station for questioning, but no arrests have been made.
Employee's of the motel's bar as well as the bar's patrons delivered their versions of events to investigators.
About 30 minutes past midnight, the two men were scene arguing in the bar. One of them left the bar and the other followed. The argument continued briefly outside the bar, but was quickly ended when one of them allegedly shot the other.
The victim's death was declared at the Charles-LeMoyne Hospital.
