Hello guys!!

What are your thoughts about this subject, if you are single this question won't matter to you, otherwise here's why I am asking this.
If you text a girl, her number will show on your phone bill. However, if she is using WhatsApp, her number won't anywhere.

What do you think guys?

Omg, yes! Agencies can also use them like they do in Europe! It’s totally free and avoids needing to get a new sim

Really. Text message appears on your bill?
Phone calls yes
Telus switched to simple statement
Nothing appears except the amount to pay
No problems

Patron - I have been using whatapp for Brazil for 4 years I think. I have been scratching my head. Why aren't all agencies and indy escorts using this???? It would make my life a lot easier and I wouldn't have to buy a second SIM card or hide a second phone.

Normally when you use WhatsApp, your real number is used as your identifier. A lot of independents use text apps to hide their real phone number and WhatsApp does not accept text app numbers to register. I understand it is possible to setup whatsapp with another number than your real one but it is not straightforward as far as I know.

I use emails, text apps and my MERB handle for reference if needed. Never had a problem.

Whatsapp being owned by facebook, wouldn't rely on confidentiality over time. Sure, they use end-to-end encryption for the actual chat. But there are more ways to be intrusive than looking at the message content. This is another app running on the device that can monitor where you are, who you may be in proximity to, the contact you're reaching... to be added to your profile.

...its Facebook. That's all I need to know not to trust where its going.

Yes yes, I know I'm sounding like the paranoid tin hat wearing, flat-earther.

Just like Patron said, Whatsapp is the standard messaging app in many countries. I would love for montreal indy's and agencies to use it. I particularly like the end to end encryption and the sent\received\read receipts. I like that you can record a voice message when driving or when you have a lot to say. Deleting messages or entire conversations is easy, and the app works well with dual sim phones. I really cant say enough about it.

The thing is XO and vogue use an iPhone. So Imessage is possible for anyone with an internet connection. Euphoria and velvet dont. I guess if everyone adapted what’s app to a biz line it would help foreign clients.

I know vaguely about whatsapp (heard about it on some sites) but i have no idea how to use it or else... Or if you can text a regular person etc.

I think if you need to worry about such things, maybe you should reavaluate your intimate life. I know i may be beating a deadhorse and lots of peoples here won't agree with me, but if you cheat to enjoy this business in my book its wrong...

Whatsapp would allow you to reserve escorts in Canada from the USA on a Sunday and would allow you to confirm the morning of the date from that same number from a hotel room in Canada without having to change out a chip or spend an extra dime. Whatsapp would allow you to use your business phone to book escorts without ever having to worry about your company going on a witch hunt and catching you booking escorts on a work phone. Whatsapp would help when crossing through customs and would prevent the nosy, pain in the ass, customs officer from seeing that you booked escorts. Whatsapp would help keep LE at bay in the US and wherever purchasing sex is illegal...so it's not just about guys trying to hide their private life from wives and girlfriends (yes this helps for that too).

If only unattached men saw escorts than there would be very few girls to choose from and girls would be sewing patches on their lingerie because they would lose 90% of their business!!!

Agree 100%. I may not have many firm principles in my life, but I absolutely refuse to have anything to do with Mr. Zuckerberg. Even though right now you (apparently) don't need to have a Facebook account to use WhatsApp, it seems a pretty safe bet that it will be enforced rather soon. No, thanks.

Whatsapp was bought out by facebook a while back and attempts to merge the two have been resisted by regulators. Its not a social media app and does not try to connect you with anyone. SMS messages can be seen by anyone the phone company allows access to even years later. Whatsapp messages only exist on your phone, there is no central server they pass through and with end to end encryption it means once you delete the conversation its gone. This is not about hiding stuff from a jealous spouse, this is about people who travel internationally and face an evermore scrutiny by people who do not mind their own business. And it saves you from buying a local sim card when flying in.

Whatsapp features make it the standard in messaging in many small and medium companies around the world, but for whatever reason its not popular in North America

For secure texting, I would go for Signal. Totally free, it is not owned by a Gafa entity.

They should all use twitter, much better.

I was exchanging text with a girl yesterday when all of a sudden a suggested real name appeared to to my contacts!! Text her to let her know and wow she confirmed its her real name. What the hell did that come from?? (her facebook cannot be retreived with her phone number).

cheers,

I thought that app based phone numbers were frowned upon us using them? I agree that WhatsApp is great for many of the reasons people have shared. But I know from experience that some indys and agencies will tell you to contact them with a “real” number. That should go both ways.

No. It shouldn’t. From your perspective, you just want a real number because "it’s unfair, I deserve to know her real number too, what’s good for her is good for me, OKAY? *stomps feet*"... From our perspective, we want real numbers because:

1) Too easy to harass someone and/or make fake calls repeatedly with different fake numbers. Trust me I would know.

2) If you’re a bad client (Violent/Thief), we need a real number to be able to actually block and blacklist you. And if you’re really violent or worse a murderer, a real number makes it much easier for police to identify you.

3) And before you tell me "escorts too can be violent/thieves/etc", this is where my third point comes in handy. Sir, this is a review board. You have the choice to pick a well reviewed lady. Until we have a review board where verified providers can review every client in details like you guys review us... you can’t compare our need for a real number versus your want for it. We have no reviews to assure ourselves of your reputation and attitude. In some cases, a reference or two might be enough. A board handle with a posting history. But most clients don’t use merb. Often, a real number is all that we have. And it’s important for the reasons I mentionned above.

So, no, it shouldn’t go both ways. It’s not nearly the same. And don’t even get me started on why we use fake numbers versus why you use them. You use fake numbers for an irrational fear that your wife might find out (which is virtually not a possibility if you’re cautious, book reputable providers, and delete your texts after or even block the provider’s number until you need to text her again). We use fake numbers because we actually post the number in our prostitute ads and because sex workers are constantly targeted by people with bad intentions. I’m sure you can see the difference :)

I think you use your real number and you can put an icon picture of yourself. All the escorts in Asia list WhatsApp and so do all the escorts in Brazil. You can call country to country anywhere in the world for free!!!! It is the greatest thing and it would save the people of North America a lot of money, time, and effort and can add another layer of security.
