Hey guys so doing some research for my arrival to Montreal tonight. Are the rates posted by agencies and massage parlors expected in Canadian or USD? Appreciate the help!

Typically the prices for anything would be posted for the location you are in. In Canada it would be Canadian dollars. If you have US currency be sure to exchange it so you can take advantage of the the great exchange rates.

But I am very curious. Why in the world would you think price would be advertise in US dollars? This happens so often and it does puzzled me a lot. You have been out of the USA in your life correct?

The real question to be asked here is why would you even want to pay in American dollars when the exchange rate is $1.30???? Do you enjoy throwing away 30 cents with every dollar you spend as much as relieving your bladder when it gets filled?

As for myself I was just a bit sarcastic I say just a bit because many girls told me many clients do not take the time to convert their money. They just pay full amount in US dollars. I guess those are the busy guy who do not really care paying an extra 30%... Especially since it's already probably 25 to 50% cheaper (and much safer!) then doing it in the states.

It’s beyond mindless to piss away that kind of money. Basically if you pay in US dollars at par for 3 one hour sessions, you could have had a 4th for no extra money had you simply converted the funds to Canadian. It’s epically mindless.
Of course there is a right to be mindless and stupid in your behaviors when on vacations, so long as it is lawful. For some, this kind of fiscal irresponsibility is part of the mindless fun and games. I sense that is what we have on our hands here.
