I'll tell you right now that there was one girl I knew of who worked for Angel Escorts who would occasionally visit NJ and there's one indy that I know of who sometimes visits NYC (and other points in the country). Considering that you can charge more & the exchange rate is favorable to you, would you ever consider working in the US? In NY, at least, we've been lucky recently that LE is really not paying attention, so I don't think you'd have to worry about that. I know that Girlfriends (what did it used to be called?) opened a branch in NY last year that didn't work out, but these days I think it might be worth a try. $100 USD right now is worth $126 CDN and you can charge a minimum of $300/hr, if not 4 or 5. This really sounds like I'm a pimp, doesn't it? I'm not! I'm just welcoming the Canadian invasion -- and wondering why it hasn't happened yet...?

I'm curiuous as to what SP's do with their cash. I've never asked. But I think as far as someone dividing their time between the US and Canada, they can simply open a bank account with a bank that has branches in both countries. I know this might not work since they're trying to avoid recording income, but it's one possibility. Plus, if a woman spends a Mon-Fri in NYC, it's highly unlikely that she'll have $10,000 when crossing the border home, and that's the threshold that raises red flags. I think that you can come to NY and make a ton of money in a 5-day period and then shoot home with no problem.
That's my situation. I go see my parents in Vegas and take appointments when I'm there. I'll take a hotel on the strip for a few nights and will offer incall on those days. The nice thing about Vegas is that you can come home with cash and just say you won it gambling, but I also have a US bank account where I leave some of my money.
I also worked in Portland when I was there on a business trip, lol. Why not?
I've thought about going to NYC, but it's awfully expensive to stay there. If I had enough interest I would go, I love the city.
I'm going to throw something out to you. It isn't an appointment request, just a fer instance. The Hilton DoubleTree on 51st Street between 2nd and 3rd has a room rate of $120/night right now. If you're charging $300 or $400/hour with some guy, you've already paid for your trip. New York is not as expensive as you think.

Patron, again excellent points as always. I think Canadians are under the misconception that every $400-$600 SP that visits NYC makes a killing when factoring in advertising and hotel costs. As you likely know NYC and NNJ especially has some damn good $250 and $300 escorts and there is no shortage of $400+ SPs.
I don't think it's worth the financial or legal risks for Canadian SPs to visit and charge a $400-600 price point. It often takes awhile to build up a client base. And Border Security is so tight on both sides especially if one is noticed doing multiple annual trips.
Definitely not backpage -- that's LE bait in the US. You can probably use Eros, but I've never contacted anyone through Eros before. Your best bet is Preferred 411 or Date Check. You can also try to hook up with an established agency in whatever city you want to visit. Offhand, I would say P411. It costs me $129/year as a client. I don't know what they charge for escorts. On their website, they generally put the "visiting" escorts towards the front of the search engine.
I don't think I agree with a lot of this. It's all academical at this point. I would have to know an SP that actually did it and learn something from her experience. The whole law enforcement and border security thing is nonsense, though. I might have to disagree with some of this but in my opinion your perceptions are on the mark. I mostly hobby in North Jersey just right outside the city with rates and services comparable to Montreal (maybe $20-$40 more). I've actually had some better experiences there than with girls from GG or Angels, and again at comparable pricing
But we are talking NYC here and you probably are familiar with the one and only brothel chain that offers decent girls (especially in their VIP stable) at below the $300 price point. Another good agency with a wonderful private apartment has a $300 price point, some really great looking GFE women and goes easy on the clock (unlike some Montreal agencies)
You ask an interesting question, however. How would a Montreal girl do financially in NYC. A number of factors go into that for sure but my guess is not well until she builds up a client base. I've spoken to so many P411 SPs who say the competition is so fierce right now. But I'd love to hear other perspectives, especially since I love Montreal women
