^^^^ Ontario has increased its speed limit on many 400 series highways to 110km/hr.

^^^^ Alberta is starting a pilot project to increase the speed limit on its highways to 120km/hr.

What do you think? I think it is time for Lego the dictator to increase the speed limit on Quebec highways to 120km/hr or at least to 110km/hr. The 100km/hr speed limit is outdated and was made during the 1973 oil crisis in which 90km/hr was the most fuel efficient speed so they made it 100km/hr.

If 90km/h was the most fuel efficient speed back then i wonder what it is nowadays ?

I am most preoccupied with the 60km minimal speed than to increase the maximum speed limit ... it should be at least 85km in normal conditions... nothing is more dangerous then someone going 65 on the highway

I imagine it is higher. Remember before 1983 most cars did not have overdrive. 3 speed automatics and four speed manuals were the norm back then.

Hmm it depends. On the snowstorm of Wed, while driving on highway 10, I was doing between 60 to 75km/hr depending on the road conditions. Under normal conditions I am going between 110 to 125km/hr. When it is slippery then those rules go out the window. That is why I dislike draconian speed limits.
