Not really. The important factor is having a ticket period. You may get it reduced in points and in the amount fined, but when your insurer finds out next renewal watch your rates go up.
It is child's play to get the ticket reduced, and that is what the traffic ticket firms that say "we win or it is free" will deliver a reduced ticket - which doesn't really help you.
Thanks for reminding me to mind my driving -- for several years I always got nailed around October and just now am getting a clean record back which I cherish.
