Fabulous news, Satin Dreamz, happy to have you come aboard. Maeva has previously shown up at a summertime gathering, and is more than welcome again.
Not much activity in this thread recently, so I'm going to bump it every day until friday to remind people and to coax you all into coming. I guess that's what happens when you announce a party too much in advance.
Ok folks, I tried but the buffet idea seems to be a wash out, as I spoke with hotel management over the weekend, and they were not keen at all at the idea of outside food being brought into the hotel. It's understandable from their point of view, so we'll have to make due with liquid nourishment and party platters of nachos and snack entrees. We can try the buffet suggestion (potluck?) at another time and perhaps another venue?
I was asked until what time our GT's usually last, and the answer is "as long as you feel like it". Previously, the crowd starts to thin out at around 1am, but the more enterprising among us manage to go elsewhere for late-night entertainment, after-hour food and chatting, and as for myself I've not gone to bed until 5am most times. Shall history repeat itself...? I believe this time I'll be dragging my sorry ass l-oooooong after the sun goes up this time.
So don't forget your gifts people, we'll probably pick and choose a bit after midnight. Please read this thread in full for all details, and if anyone has any questions, feel free to message me.

Not much else I can add today..but I just had a thought: how about for those of you men who are thinking of stopping by this friday night, if you see one of our beautiful ladies within the next two days, try and think during your period of afterglow , and casually offer/remind the lady about our gathering and say with a sexy voice that you'd love to see her walk by wearing her sexiest outfit and casually wink at you...
LOL, I'm dreaming up a very bad Bleu Nuit scenario right now. I'm going to stop right now while I still have no dignity left.

Tomorrow's the night, hope to see many, MANY of you there. We should start arriving at around 10pm or so. Whoever arrives the earliest, please try to sit near the closed BROWN baby grand piano in the front table area immediately before the bar. That's where we've sat the last few times, and will prevent people from searching for each other.
I've been asked about the whole gift exchange thing: there is NO obligation to have a gift with you for the party, it is just a nice thing to liven things up and create a few laughs. I'll mention it again, the guys who wish to participate, must bring a male-oriented present or a gender-neutral present (no gifts meant only for ladies), of a value not exceeding 20$. And the ladies who wish to participate should bring a female-oriented present or a gender-neutral one. Please remember to write either "M" for male, "F" for female, or "N" for neutral in a legible way with a thick black marker (make it easy for everybody, guys!)
At some point during the evening, we will collect the gifts into a box, write down the names of the participants, then have Satan..er Santa distribute them
If you didn't, couldn't, wouldn't bring a gift, don't feel unwelcome at the party, as there will be plenty to do and see anyway. Just bring your best mood and uncle jokes, and be willing to have a great time. If you have an idea for any after-party activities (noooo, I'm not talking about that, one-track minds!!), that us late night owls can go and do, suggest them to your hearts content

You willl have to do some policing when the gifts are picked. Why? Assume there are 15 males, 15 females, 10 female gifts, 10 male gifts, and 10 neutral gifts. Now assume that the women pick all the neutral gifts and 5 women's gifts; you are left with (for the men) 10 male gifts and 5 female gifts.
