Meanwhile Medvedev is the one left with the sins of being the first man to lose Australian Open after being up 2-0 not once, but twice! Daniil was 6 points away from a straight sets win but goes home with a brutal, brutal loss, one that will be hard to forgive.

Gotta say though, that it was an extremely classy and gracious and at times humorous post-match speech Medvedev gave to the crowd, after what was the most brutal loss of his career. I think Medvedev has grown up and understands what it means to be a professional on this tour.

KALINSKAYA had to play in the Qualifs and was exhausted in the 3rd Set.
Otherwise I think she would have won the match.
