terb vs. merb

I like the people who post on Merb. I actually took 4 or 5 months off from Merb for various reasons, but an important reason was that there was a definite negative vibe on the board and I just didn't want to deal with it anymore. Now, apparently, that negative vibe is gone. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky.) I know that there are much fewer people available to post on Merb than there are on Terb, but since the negativity has been taken away, maybe you (and I) can be encouraged to post more. It can be a lively, friendly board, if we make it that way. I love the crazy free-for-all on Terb. There's no reason why Merb can't be like that. Just post whatever crazy bullshit pops into your mind. And respond to it, too! I know that this will probably make no difference, but I wanted to give it a shot.

Main problem with Merb: dead boards!!! Post and respond to posts! You don't have to be a genius, just write whatever. Get involved. It's all fucking anonymous. Just write anything!

That said, I'm going to bed now. I actually have to work tomorrow...

Terb you have to use the search function a lot. With Merb everything is stream lined for research efficiency.

Hmm. Terb has a lot of useless non sense BS posts. I used to go on it when I lived in Toronto but not anymore. I hated it. Merb is what I prefer I want to read useful reviews. There has got to be a structure otherwise you get a lot of clutter like what is found on Terb.

Agreed! The Lounge has become complete bullshit and the 'reviews' section gets cluttered by more inquiries and discussion than actual reviewing.

One of the reasons that Terb became more popular than Merb is the language barrier. Most of the hobbyists in Montreal, you like it or not , are French speaking and it is hard for them to post in English. Although we have number of French posts here in Merb, nevertheless the English posts are overwhelmingly out beat the French posts. This can be very intimidating for someone with limited to no English skills. Also as soon as a member starts a thread or post a review gets targeted by some vicious flame war attacks for shilling or over paying the tips. I was one of those so called victims of such attacks. Hence I stop posting in Massage section and will never post there. There is a bad blood between the owners and they are allowed to post any conflicting posts and shill on their thread to the max with no consequences. I only post in escort section now , that's where my expertise and hobby lies anyways. I stay away from massage section all together.
I am an older guy and have no time to waste for all these none sense massage horse crap. I am sure if members here be more supportive towards writers , we would have more posts pouring in to Merb. I also notice lots of one liner comments whom trying to fish some info without sharing. This will clutter the board with garbage info, specially no one usually reply to these questions and comments. Which is good , cuz these questions can be asked via PM instead of public board.

It's also a numbers game.
There are around 7 million people in the Greater Toronto Area and around 4 million in the Greater Montreal Area.
It only stands to reason that there would be more hobbyists in TO, therefore more activity on the boards.
