You misunderstood my post. Marijuana is not tobacco. I was just stating that there are special import conditions for different products and that those products being legal in 2 different countries doesn't imply you can bring it with you through a boarder. I was responding to @Doc Holliday that posted: "Whenever i’d cross the border i’d always be asked if i had any tobacco or alcohol products. I did not but i figured if i did & said so they likely would have got confiscated."

ATF regulates tobacco products. To the extent marijuana is regulated on the federal level, it's regulated by the DEA or (at the border) US Customs. Otherwise each state has regulatory entities and commissions which regulate marijuana.

Alcohol can be brought across the border, i do it everytime, you can be told to pay a fee if you bring in a LOT of it, but ive never heard of it happen, and theres been times ive brought multiple cases of 1.18s clearly visable in the back seat across
You absolutely can not bring weed/thc/gummies across the border, the border is enforced by federal law enforcement and weed is illegal under federal law, which state you are coming from means ZERO
