This match once again proved to me that soccer/football is still in the dark ages. It's still the most corrupt sport on the planet & the easiest to fix. The referee has way too much influence in the final outcome of the games. Add this the faking of injuries, the unbearable noise, the idiot fans still driving around town & honking their horns, etc. It's a joke!
What if France would have won the World Cup? Would all the french-canadians have been seen parading all afternoon & evening long in our streets? I doubt it. They are Canadians & not residents of France. Why do people of spanish descent (even italian-canadians when Italy would win) who've been in Canada for generations celebrate like it's their country that won a world cup match?
