Amazon auto translation is amazing, they translated "Batman: battle for the cowl" to "bataille pour la vache"
I never thought people would think it's something else than a cherry.Bought a penis themed candy at the store today, my kid says it's a cherry, what do you guys think?
I wonder why so many people are wearing sneakers on the sidewalks in Montreal, even in -20 C weather. Is looking cool more important that keeping your feet warm? Do they not have enough money to buy boots? Probably one or both depending on the person.
I have the same issue like with changing seasons' footwear. My pedal feels so different when it's a boot, regular shoes or flip flops lolI drive where I need to go, so not out for long. I don't like driving in boots. I don't like the feel of thick soles and not feeling what is under my foot when I step. I have a pair of healed boots that I would probably break my neck if I tried wearing outside with the ground like this. Otherwise its been about a decade since I have worn winter boots, because I don't like them. Nothing to do with fashion. There are some cute boots out there.

I think that's one of the things I will complain about Montreal (Canada?). I've seen it all here in terms of opening hours!Literally bizarro world calendar. Only day I usually see a restaurant MIGHT be closed on is a Monday.
Update: should have waited to have lunch on Monday. My backup plan was not stellar.Looking for something to eat for lunch and then stumble onto this restaurant opening hours:

Sending you a long, warm hugI'm annoyed by how much people enjoy stirring the pot, create feelings of panic and starting drama in this industry.. whether it's by gossiping, trying to pit ppl against each other, breaking confidentiality, and making little innuendos online meant to make someone or multiple people look bad, by using something personal somebody confided against them or by bringing up the same subjects that will inevitably create controversy.
An example of this which is very clear and visible.. I think since I joined this industry in 2022 almost every change of season or every 6 months there's a wave of anxiety about ''things being slow'' or ''things just not being like how they used to be''.. which ends up bringing complaints about rates, immigrants, women being ugly and giving bad service etc. and providers feeling this sense of scarcity and starting to see their colleagues as competition to be eliminated. But yeah like I said there are other examples that are more ''personal'' and happen between specific individuals.
It's become really hard for me to trust anyone, whether it's a colleague or a client. I've met some really fantastic people but I regret having been so open with certain people (both clients and providers) and assuming they had good intentions. I'm definitely not alone in this, a lot of people are telling me they feel the same way, that's why a lot of people keep to themselves. It's a learning experience honestly.
The queue is long at the car wash in winter (at least 40-45 minutes)When queueing at the car wash during winter I like to partake in a private car karaoke
I agree a million percent. My boots are 30 years old and still look somewhat new outside of a scuff or 2. I wear them maybe once or twice a year, for the same reasons as Julia stated.I wear boots sometimes, sneakers sometimes, heels sometimes even in the winter. Lol. While yes style plays a part (I can't imagine wearing astronaut type boots to a dinner date), there's also the fact that my feet don't really feel colder in sneakers than they do in boots, honestly... It's not like I walk 6 hours a day in snow. I can afford boots, but I can also afford a uber if I have to go somewhere that's too far to walk to
