Mine is German. Spanish is easy if you know French tbh
I spent 30 years learning spanish (my mother tongue is french). I speak it well enough to have a decent conversation with locals. However I hate it when people say it's easy. I would admit it is easier when you already know french but definitly not easy unless you have a gift for learning new languages which is not my case.

I guess that's what I meant. Mainly I mean that structurally the Latin languages are similar and so understanding sentence structure is easier but yeah you def need to have to be decent at learning new languages.

I have a plugin hybrid vehicle, meaning I can benefit from one of the privilege to park in designated carpark space as long as I'm charging (and yes you can get fined if you're just parking on an EV designated carpark).

I parked on a spot where the charger was out of service and on top of that it was not the correct plug type for my car.

But I took the plug of an adjacent charger. But it was not working either ...

I just plugged it into my car to pretend charging and to avoid getting a fine (although it's very rare)

People think that they should automatically be the same because they're latin language but they're really not. Many of my latin friends tell me that in some ways it's easier to learn English than it is French because of the pronunciation and the accents. Also the silent letters tend to screw them up in both English and French. The really nice thing about Spanish is that it always sounds like it reads and it's always pronounced the same way. You just need to be able to master spanish the verbs, because Spanish verbs are fucked. Also, every time you cross a latin border the local slang changes, and there's a lot of latin borders, so that can be a challenge when travelling. English is my native tongue, but having learned both French and Spanish I would say that if you're starting from scratch that Spanish is easier to learn than French.

You are absolutely right. The spanish language is regularly standardized which makes it easier for a french speaking person to learn spanish than the other way around. For example, In the spanish-french dictionary that I bought 40 years ago (before internet) the LL, and the CH are considered letters on their own. That has been changed since then. As I said before easier is not the same as easy. As for the accent, just like any language (british versus USA english for example) every countries have their particularities.

When I get off the metro at Atwater and I see all the hot students I secretly think about wishing there was a scanner that would allow to know which are either sugar babies or sex workers. The way some of them dress is so visually irresistible that I start thinking about opportunities... too many hot students around and it's not even warm outside yet...
