Angels vs Cubs for the World Series but I might be changing my prediction depending on who Kevin Kennedy picks.
Well, I guess that eliminates the Angels and Cubs. :D

The team i'm pulling in these playoffs, the Rays...upset the Red Sox & John Lester at Fenway!!! Wow!!!!!

For the first time in these series, the Red Sox looked very beatable. Will they be able to repeat???

Glad to see an old Blue Jay favorite of mine, Canadian Matt Stairs, hit a key pinch-hit homerun late in the game tonight against the Dodgers. His first post-season homerun ever!! Hard to say who i'm pulling for in this series....Manny's been phenomenal so far, but he won't be able to win a series by only himself. Wonder if he'll be back in Dodger blue next year? My bet is that he'll wind up with the hated Yankees.

Can they repeat? Absolutely. Will they repeat? Not bloody likely. With Lowell out, with Beckett and Papi not themselves, the Rays are certainly the better team. That said, the best team doesn't always win. What the Sox really need right now is for Joe.T to weigh in in favor of the Rays.

Normally, when a team goes from 60 wins one year to 95 the next, they usually revert to the mean winning 20-30 fewer games the next. I don't expect that to happen to the Rays. They are not the case where everybody on the team has a career year, or a fluky year, propelling them to their success. Rather, they are a team loaded with tremendous young talent.

Devil Rays over the Phillies in 6 for the World Series and the Yankees sweep it in 4 straight against who ever the National League team is in 09.

God does Big Papi look pathetic, he is either washed up or playing hurt, I'm guessing the former, .059

Thanks, Joe. If the Sox pull this off, you get a fair chunk of the credit.

BTW, with his big bomb last night, Senor October is now up to .115. No telling what it will be in three days.

Another big night for Senor October.

So how do we explain this amazing team? I think it's starting to become clear and it's nothing you'll find in the analysis at Baseball Prospectus. Let's call it the Fucking Moron® Effect.

The Red Sox wandered in the desert for 86 years and won, finally, after the inception of the Joe.T Memorial® thread. And continued to win, and win, and win.

As the thread slowed down, so did the Sox, eventually flirting with being quickly dispatched by the Rays in five games. Then, as the Sox began to search for miracles as the innings and outs grew few, a light flashed in the sky like a beam from the heavens. Yes, Joe.T was logging into merb and declaring the Sox dead. Barely had Joe hit the submit reply button when the life returned to Big Papi's bat and a three run jack landed in the Fenway seats. The rest we all know.

For all of Red Sox Nation: Thank you, Joe. Thank you, Joe. Thank you, Joe. I just can't say it enough. Thank you, Joe.

Hey, Joe! How about a prediction for tonight's game.

BTW, among those celebrating the Sox victory last night, perhaps a bit too much, was Joba Chamberlain. The question I have is what was Joe drinking, that open container next to him, when the Nebraska State Police nailed him on a DUI charge? Old Duke? Schlitz?

Hey Shameless,

This is the kind of thing that proves exactly who you are...just a "Do Or Die" fan. There is no sense or logic or rational consideration based on anything. It's your team and there is no thought of anything else but that they will win it all in the most dominating way possible. There's nothing wrong with that really. That's what a certain type of fan, the "True Believer", is like. He does not care about facts or conditions. All that is important is that this is his team. But what is laughable is the pretensions to thoughtful insight. When you say things like the above it's comes down to a choice of either laughing it off, as you would for all true believers lost in their love for their team, or wondering if you have just really lost your mind. Or is it that you are so grateful Jeter and A-Rod invited you to be their bathroom attendant so you can earn tips while they watch all of the playoffs on the couch and constantly utter those most pathetic words of woe...shoulda, woulda, coulda. Maybe your statement is just gratitude for such allowances. But, we all know a true believer like you just can't help it, and we know to excuse you as that lovable guy with the limited tag lines who can't help but display the inevitable delusional ecstatic devotion. For you are Joe.t...and you can do no other. Love you BOY! :)

Toodles,

Korbel

Oh my fucking god!!, either I'm dreaming or the shit that I smoked last night is
is really that good, for once rumples and I are agreeing on a baseball outcome.

By the way I'm agreeing with rumples and I'm picking Tampa to win 7-0 with Garza pitching another lights out performance.

For the record on my pro-line ticket for tonights game I have

1.Crawford over Bay
2.Longoria over Ortiz
3.Tampa over Boston by two runs.:)

No, Joe, you Fucking Moron®, we're not in agreement. What I said was that a Sox victory in the ALCS was unlikely, not that I was picking against it. Of course, all of that changed when you picked the Rays, virtually guaranteeing a Sox victory.:D

With Lester on the hill vs. Garza, the Sox probably are a better team going into tonight's game. With you picking the Rays, a Sox victory is virtually a lock. All of Red Sox Nation salutes you, Joe. In fact, the Mayor of Boston has proclaimed tomorrow as "Fucking Morons® Day" in that fair city.

Hey Shameless,

OOOPS...Joba Arrested!

Hello all,

It just came across the CNN news band that Joba Chamberlain has been arrested for driving under the influence. Looks like it really SUCKS to be a Yanker and watch the Red Sox keep winning. That kind of pressure seems to require a drink...lots of them.

Toodles,

Korbie

It's now 11:21 pm, the final nail is about to be nailed into the Red Sox 08 season, down to their last three outs with one good hitter left Jason Bay.
