To some of them it's a psychological need to show their superiority, to show women "I can do whatever I want with you, I dictate the prices". They can't control you physically so they feel the need to get the better of you on a psychological point of view.

Wow. All the more reason not to see someone like that!

It is the same as when people ask for bare, even if the guy says after I say no they say it is fine covered, just asking for it is enough to refuse a meeting...

Same with bargaining, just trying to tell me I do not want to meet that person...
My standard line when people try to bargain is: ''I only bargain up,you are welcome to offer me more...'' lol

Thanks Mithridate...I rather have a long emails with all the info (and more ) I need instead of having to ask the 100 game question...

Granted it is human to try to have a better price on goods and sometimes services, I can bargain for a TV, a car or whatever good you need but when it comes to this kind of services and its clearly indicated "non negotiable" on the web site I respect that totally, I would not be at easy trying to negotiate anything, but thats me.

If you don't like the price than don't book with the provider. Ask all your questions about service etc, before booking. I find it disrespectful to the provider when you bargain for services. I will admit I have asked for a better price for a multiple hour engagement(3hrs+) Worse, not respecting her restrictions, especially when she told you ahead of time.

Exactly and sometimes if you go to process in a gentle manner without thinking that you should have a rebate, you may have a surprise especially if you book longer.
In any case I do not expect anything beside gentleness, and honesty from the person and it works either way.
Since i am person who believe that rushing is like "voir la vie sans la vivre" I always try to first made contact with several emails that will eventually end with at least a 3 hours meeting, but thats me.

I just want to point to your number 5: I think you might be wrong.
Enquire for direct and in advance anything sexual is illegal for the demander, not the offerer, in Canada.
In fact, the advertising is not illegal for the independent offerers. She could say whatever she wants. (or he)
The problem to be too much explicite is much more for the site of advertising, to stay in the limits of legality (and of good taste also often, but that's a question of image here)

It's always important to me to know the law as well as decorum. So: it is legal for a provider to advertise or offer explicit services, over email or on a website, but not for the client to inquire about or discuss such services?

I am not in expert concerning this law, but one thing i have noticed they are less explicit (at least some of them) in some web sites, you can see term as GFE, donations are described as sweet, roses, chocolates, and very often its written for my time and companionship only.
As for emails quite honestly, after reading whats on the web site there ways to ask without talking about the real thing, just wrap your words in satin or silk, they will understand, and i have been lucky to able to talk on the phone several times before an encounter and talk without any fear, since i have no cellphone, texting before or to have the place to go its difficult but can be bypass by other means.
And when it come to emails or phone calls, how can they know if i am not talking to my "amante".
I have never been afraid before, now or in the future as long as I do my stuff surrounded by a cloaking device

I think it is human nature for people to bargain or negotiate on goods and services...

In many parts of the world it is common practice in just about every transaction including the sex industry. It may be uncomfortable to you but just say no and remain firm on your price. I would expect there was no offense intended and it was just looked at as part of the transaction.

This also can happen from the other direction in the industry from agency girls, indys, and backpage adds. Up selling extras asking for tips etc. It happens you address it don't lose sleep over it.

Funny, I have always been uncomfortable bargaining, even when buying things like cars where I know it is expected.

There have been situations where someone has asked if I could give them my best price, or offer a multi-hour discount. Sometimes this is done in a way that isn't insulting or demeaning. Most often though, these bargainers simply aren't polite or respectful. I don't think they care if they are offensive.

You are right that it can also go the other way. Personally I find that tacky and it lacks class. I don't charge for extras and I don't ask for tips.

What I understood, because the buying of sexual acts are illegal in Canada, if you are inquiring and looking for some precise "sexual services" and
you deal and exchange about those before ever meeting the person you are talking/writing to,
you cannot say it happens "in the heat of the moment between 2 consenting adults".

So, that's explaining, in part, why some ladies won't talk or exchange graphic emails, and how a lady will present herself also, to give you an idea of the ambiance of an encounter with her.

I feel the laws have been changed maybe for the real abusers, after few months. (and for a political question also, at the end) Not for the adults who are consenting.

On more than one occasion on this forum it has been shown pretty clearly that people are stupid. I'm referring primarily to the thread about what to do if you see an SP in outside life. The discussions that came out of that thread left me shaking my head.
