Ottawa is well out of the playoff picture at the moment. And so are the Rangers who have 30 points to the Canadiens 29 which makes no sense. The last two wild cards for the playoffs are Washington and NY islanders.

As Doc wrote below, he is not the same without Methot who was a master at covering him defensively while Karlsson would help the attack. He does not have that backup anymore.

As for going out of Ottawa actually the city and the team is not a factor. He went the best $$ deal as possible. As Bergevin said last year, in hockey if you want loyalty buy a dog ;)

Cheers,

Look behind you.
The Oilers have three plans for their goaltending issue, Talbot is cold too many games plus he is hurt.
1) Looking for a trade like Chad Johnston from Buffalo, he was good in Calgary but sucks in Buffalo.
2) Bakersfield farmhand Nick Ellis for his first NHL game
3) Nothing, just blowing smoke and will keep Brossoit.

Wow great again...Vegas 5-3 on Dallas. Lagacé was spectacular....almost at mid season GKnights are 19-9-1...incredible....pas de superstar...mais un travail d'équipe et une cohésion remarquable pour une jeune équipe.....qui devrait servir d'inspiration à plusieurs.....

Ottawa lost again 5-0 against San Jose....terrible terrible terrible....Boucher is in a hot seat......and what about my Wings......incroyable pour une dynastie.semblable....là aussi un grand ménage s'impose.

Oilers still sucking, hard to put 2 games in a row, thankful their entire division is not doing well, 8 points out and many games to go.

I actually thought they played a great game last night but the only difference was the Toronto goalie (Mclhinney) being a brick wall throughout the night. The Oilers considerably outshot Toronto bombed the Leafs goalie throughout the game and ended up losing only 1-0. I found the Edmonton goalie (Brossoit) to be very good also.

McDavid will have to learn to shoot more instead of always looking to pass the puck when a good scoring chance presents itself. But most importantly he'll have to greatly improve on the face-offs. He was terrible in that department last night and it's hard for a team to win games when your best player regularly loses 8 out of 10 face-offs and the other team gains control of the puck every time.

But other than that i found that the Oilers played very well and had it not been for the Leafs goalie's heroics the score may have very well been similar to the Oilers/Habs game the previous night.

As for the Leafs, strong goaltending has been their story all season long and Frederik Andersen has been the team's MVP thoughout the season. Thankfully the Leafs gave him the night off last night and it didn't hurt them. Mclhinney was nothing short of magnificient and the Leafs really needed him to be great considering Auston Matthews was out with an upper-body injury, suffered with he collided with Morgan Rielly in the third period of Saturday night's game.

Nice seeing Gretzky and Coffee watching the game together. Even nicer was seeing Auston Matthews and Connor McDavid's fathers watching the game together in one of the private booths and McDavid's dad congratulating Mr. Matthews once the game was over.

Good news..Fleury is back on ice....they will need him in good shape for the rest of the season.

Bad news....Byfuglien is out for some weeks.....ne connaissait pas la saison la plus prolifique mais quand même un rouage important à la défensive........de plus je l'avais dans mes pools:Cry:

He only played 4 games and Vegas has been very successful without him. If you want my opinion, Vegas should start Subban and use Fleury as a back-up. Subban is the future. Fleury is a relic of the past.
