A friend of mine was in Philadelphia for the Flyers-Bruins game Easter Sunday (an afternoon matinee), with tickets a few rows off the ice, near where referees report penalty and other calls to the official scorers through a hole in the glass. From what I heard one of the refs must have had a reservation for dinner after the game, because with 3 seconds left in regulation, the Bruins scored a goal to tie the game 3-3, and the ref groaned aloud, "awwwww shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The Flyers then won the game 4-3 in OT on a goal by Giroux, much to the delight of my friend, a Philadelphia native and lifelong Flyers fan.
From what I have heard if you are in Philadelphia for hockey game or other sporting event, the two premiere Philly Cheesesteak purveyors are Pat's and Geno's. This is actually the city where the Philly cheesesteak was invented.
