Shenmue 3, the long awaited sequel of the greatest video game of all time is finally announced trough kickstarter. In only 1 day, the kickstarter is fully funded at 2 000 000$

After 14 years... 14 years !!! we will finally see what happen next.

Honestly yesterday was awesome, they announced Gears of War 4, the beta for GOW1 ultimate edition has started too, but nothing could prepare me to see this Shenmue annoucement, i almost cried... this is so beautifull :amen:

I know there is not much video game players here, but i am sory i want to share this just about everywhere, SHENMUE 3 !!!!!!!! just saying it make me have the chills....

Well, that's not exactly a difficult decision, Doggylover. I will say that there was a time when I was addicted to video games. I would start to play thinking maybe I'd do it for an hour and the next thing you'd know, the birds were singing and the sun was coming up. In the end, I gave it up completely. Except for a few apps on my phone, I really don't play at all anymore.

Thanks for sharing, that's pretty cool. You never have to freakin apologize to anyfreakinbody for showing positive enthusiasm for something like that. If anyone ever tries to shame you for enjoying video games or any victimless activity for that matter, he's pretty much exposing himself as a tool.

Not that it would be such a bad thing for all to see who they are..

I sold all my consoles because I uses to play way to much video games.

But now that E3 announced the remake of Final Fantasy 7, I think I'm going to buy a ps4.
It was one of my ATF.

HOLY SHIT! I started watching late, and missed this. This is great! To this day, I have the music from FF7 and FF8 on my iPod and get waves of nostalgia whenever I hear them. Did you happen to play Xenogears? I find that was the game a lot of people slept on, and then the Xenosaga thing that came after it was a bit "meh" to me.
I have to read some of the summaries of what happened before I tuned in.

Luckily I already have a ps4 haha.

Oh dear. Reminds me of the anticipation of Diablo 3. Took some 12 years for it to reach the public. Man that game got me hooked for some two and a half years. Just recently weed myself off from that time wasting addiction. Video games are great since they teach you lateral thinking and thinking outside the box but after a while you have to pull that needle out of your arm.

FF7 remake is the greatest news in all gaming history.
It's my week off, and I bought star ocean second story for ps1 in a little game store in Toronto... been playgin ALL DAY!

I spend about 5 -15 hrs a week on video games, it really varies depending on weather ( lots of rain days and more game hours ). Prefer the first person shooters, playing Farcry 4 PS4 now ( my son picked up a 60" 4K UHDTV for the basement.... Wow ) Love roleplaying games but a good one is hard to find, Final fantasy was superb. My daughter uses the X-Box 360 upstairs with the Kinect, seems to be fun with a group of young kids.
The kids across the street are complete game freaks and you never see them outside, parents both work and are too tired to kick the kids outside, easier to leave them in the basement.

My dad was really big into video games, and a mild hoarder, as a result I've acquired his collection of consoles that he never threw out. After I move, I'm working on connecting my dreamcast, snes, genesis, old playstations (since the assholes decided to stop making them backwards compatible) and my wii. It's going to be amazzzziinngg!

That being said, I hardly ever have time for games anymore, I usually play an hour or two at a time every now and then. I usually end up going long enough between plays that I kind of forget where I left off. That wouldn't do well for me with a game like FF7 lol. I always wanted to start FF8 over also, that had a great soundtrack and I liked the story line for that too. Although, maybe my opinion has changed in the x years since I played that one last.

I never ended up finishing Star Ocean. Although that wasn't one of the major ones I used to play. Parasite Eve, Legend of Legaia and Wild arms were some of my faves.

while i still have a love for gaming that span 25 years (1 human generation), it is not something i have touch in the past year or so. not like i don't want to, i simply don't have a need ever since i hit my goal of 100k achievement points (for those who owns an xbox.. that is a shit load of games) but yes, shenmue 3 being announced and finally finishing the saga is indeed one of the greatest thing in video game history. i spent countless hours on my dreamcast (one of the best ever) playing both shenmue 1 and 2.

maybe that's what is going to get me back at gaming

Alright lets adress this

1) themonk83 : Yeah, actually when i reached 100 000 GS it felt like a milestone was acomplished, actually to me it was the goal i set before buying an Xbox One. When i bough the One i had a crazy achievement hunting phase but now its back to normal. Truth is i bough back diablo 3 ROS, Titanfall, and some other titles i already had on 360 because i loved those game, so unlocking GS was easy

2) FF7 REMAKE

Yeah, this is another huge news, personally i never been a fan of FF because of the turn by turn system, but this game is kinda legendary and if they remake it, i may actually give it a look, just because of its status. I know for some this was the biggest annoucement of E3, for me it was Shenmue, but having GOW1 remake and GOW4 is also awesome. I have been playing the GOW1 beta the past couple days and its really cool. Only bummber is that they desactivated party up....

3) Dalia , damn i wasn't expecting somebody else to remember Parasite Eve lol, i never actually finished it either but it was a cool game, if i get a PS3/4 eventually(well surely will for shenmue unless they make it on xbox as well down the road) then i will probably get them on the store.

5) Aspen, for the goals well i think its just a way to stretch it the most. I don't fear the game could reach its 5 million ultimate goal, last time i checked it was 3 millions in like 2 days... lol. Also when you see the fan reaction, im thinking a publisher have to step in and finance it more, i mean, they probably wanted to test the fans and see if there was still interest after 14 years and it was not just a small bunch of die hard fans, now they got there proof.

6) Man7777, yeah i know, gives me time to buy a PS4, i bough the One in feb, and this year there is so much title im gonna get, MTL will probably take a back seat too. GOW1, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Rare Replay, Halo 5, Black Ops 3 and probably more.

7) To all the people that think videos games are still the dorky kids habbit or whatever, please i would sugest to look around and realize its 2015, there is no shaming in playing video games anymore and the industry as grown to be one of the most lucrative one.

In any case this really is the best E3 of all time by far.. unless your a nintendo fan... lol, that metroid game got some crazy backlash from the fan... damn.

I can't wait for all those games. So far im enjoying the GOW beta, with active reload off the game is great, there is a few bugs here and there but thats why this is a beta, should all be fixed in the full game. Played like 5 hours yesterday lol. Got on a 17 games winning streak with one dude.

I never finished it either unfortunately, I got to day 5 or 6 and then my memory card got corrupted... After that I couldn't muster up the will to start over. PE2 was meh, i didn't enjoy the controls so i lost interest.
Are all the old games available in the store? I never go there, so I'm not too sure how it works.

Ah !! I was more a fan of the second game, cause it felt more like a Survival Horror, i am a huge Resident Evil fan

Well in the store you got not all but some good old games, for exemple Resident Evil 1.2.3 i know for a fact are. PE2 for sure, not sure about one. I would have to check myself but the difference with PLAY and Xbox is that XBOX had all there old games re-release on live arcade with achievements and online feature, while Playstation don't, there release as they are... so thefore its easier to do so.

GOW beta? For the remake of part one youre talking about? Where/how did you get it?

As for Gears 4, I'm glad they announced it, but I'm also scared too. There's no Fenix & company this time, and the last game (ie. Judgement) sucked. I sure hope it lives up to the hype.

E3 was awesome for Sony...what a bombshell of an announcement about the Final Fantasy VII remake: can't wait! :eyebrows:
